Queen Creek 4H Shooting Sports

I’m excited to announce that the state 4-H is hosting a Shooting Sports Instructor Certification Course! If you have interest in starting a shooting sports project, are a parent or volunteer willing to lead it, and/or have youth interested in the project, this is a great opportunity to get this project going!

Much of the classroom instruction will be on a virtual platform with one day of hands-on training on November 20th in Tucson. If you are interested in starting a shooting sports program, or expanding your current one to different disciplines, please use the following link to register https://forms.gle/i5zRLMWKeQLGDudM9. Applications are due by November 5th.

As this training is only held once a year, if you are a parent who is interested in volunteering with 4-H we will be allowing people to attend the training before fully completing the Certified Volunteer (DCC) process.

There is some financial support provided by our county Shooting Sports Committee for people interested in attending.

Community Club Members:
We are in need of Halloween candy donations for our annual 4-H fundraising booths for the Town of QC event Trunk or Treat which will be on Saturday, October 22nd. Please bring your bagged candy donations to the October Community Club meeting on 10/3 (QC Library) or to any horse practice meeting thru 10/18 or contact Erica Jorgensen to arrange pick up or drop off of candy.

Attached is also the volunteer list for the Truck or Treat Event, please let Erica Jorgensen know if you are available to volunteer.

Hold tight everyone we just got the first roster. Meetings will start late September early October for shooting sports. The official 4H year is October to May. Community club starts in October. Emails will start soon.
