Today was a bitter sweet day as we turned over all of the remaining assets to The Patriot Guard Riders.

Along with a check, and the remaining items for the care packages we handed over shelving units, a swamp cooler, a desk, a refrigerator, and materials for making cool collars.

The Patriot Guard Riders have already designated money for Yule Tide 4 Hero's, Youths 4 Troops, Veterans IV Veterans, and Operation Veterans Restoring Hope.

They will keep us updated on how the remaining money is used. Anita and Jen are also going to be looking for areas within The Patriot Guard Riders to volunteer.

We would like to thank the community of Quartzsite for all the donations and support over the years. We would also like to thank The Isaiah 58 Project for supplying us with the warehouse space. We truly could not have done all of this without all the support we have received.

I will be moving out of the area. Due to this we have decided to disband Operation Hero Comfort. All assets remaining will be donated to Arizona Patriot guard riders. They are a 501c3.

I thought it was time for an update. Today 2 volunteers packed 10 care packages going out to 5 units. The value of the items in these boxes is $513.00. They will be mailed tomorrow and the postage will be $196.50

We need your help. We are out of magazines to send to the troops. If you have any that would be good to send please get them to us. You can drop them off at the office of the Senior Apartments or the Readers Oasis Book store, or call Anita 763 639-9330 and I will pick them up.

Thank you Quartzite. What an amazing community we live in. I put out a request for Dollar General coupons. I went shopping this evening and saved $65.00 with the coupons I was given.

Do you shop at Dollar General in Quartzsite? If you do I have a favor to ask. This week on the bottom of the receipt is a coupon for this coming Sat $5.00 off a purchase of $25. I need to do shopping for the troops and since it is for the troops they will let me do multiple transactions. Save your receipt for me and either drop it off at the office of the apartments or call me 763 639-9330 and I will pick it up. Thank you

Today two volunteers packed 10 boxes going out to 5 units. The value of the items is the boxes is $423.00 and tomorrow the postage to mail them will be $196.00. It makes me feel so good to be doing this again, I really missed it.

Discount Grocery Liquidators is thanking the community for another great season by holding a FREE FOOD Give-away Sat. June 6, from 7am-11am or until everything is gone. They will be bringing in 2 truckloads of groceries in addition to stock already in the store. Please continue to social distance, and yes, you can bring your own bags.
