🐖 Attention Swine Exhibitors 🐖

As you start planning for this year’s project, here are a few quick updates!

• Weights: The weight limit is increasing to 240-300 lbs for 2026.

• RFID Tags: All hogs are required to have an RFID tag. We’ve been flexible in the past, but this is now a state requirement, so please make sure your hog is tagged ahead of time.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to anyone on the swine committee!

We’re proud to celebrate Jeanette Brower for earning 2nd place out of 72 entries in the America 250 PA Apron Contest at the Pennsylvania Farm Show!

Way to represent the Solanco Fair with creativity and heart. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition — we love seeing our local talent shine! ❤️🤍💙

East Drumore Township resident Jeanette Brower made her triumphant return to the Pennsylvania Farm Show by placing second place out of 72 entries in the America 250 PA Apron Contest. Jeanette's apron took about 15 hours to make, with all entries required to use the colors of red, white and blue.

"I was very overwhelmed," Jeanette said. "I knew that it was a long shot, because you are competing against 72 first-place ribbon aprons (from local fairs). That's a lot. I felt like I had done a really good job, and I had a good product, but against 72 other first places, (coming in second) was a little overwhelming."

Tonight we celebrate and thank Kyrsten Byers, the 2024 Solanco Fair Queen, for her year of service. From representing Solanco at local celebrations to competing on the state stage, Kyrsten has carried this title with pride, grace, and gratitude. 💛

Her journey has been filled with memories of community, encouragement, and leadership—and her message to the next Fair Queen is to wear the crown with pride, knowing you’re inspiring the next generation to dream big. ✨
