TWDB’s Water Weekly: The latest map for conditions as of May 19 shows no change in total drought area from the previous week, breaking a stretch of six consecutive weeks of drought contraction. With additional recent rainfall, we should see a return to drought contraction on next week’s map. https://bit.ly/TexasWaterWeekly

TWDB’s Water Weekly: The latest map for conditions as of May 12 shows the sixth consecutive weekly decrease in drought area across the state, the longest stretch of consecutive weekly decreases since October 2023. Drought area in the state has dropped to its lowest value in four months. https://bit.ly/TexasWaterWeekly

According to the Texas Water Development Board, the latest conditions show a fifth consecutive week of declining drought coverage across Texas. Notably, this most recent week recorded the largest single‑week reduction so far. As a result, statewide drought conditions have fallen to their lowest level in three months, an encouraging sign for farmers, ranchers, and communities across the state.

TWDB’s Water Weekly: The latest map for conditions as of April 28 shows the fourth consecutive weekly decrease in drought area across the state—but this most recent weekly decline was the smallest of the four.
