This was a great week for making new connections! First I got to speak for the Quakertown rotary club on Tuesday. Then on Thursday I got to meet so many great women at the LV women’s summit- wow! Thanks so much to Julie Huber for helping me out with the pictures!

Today is the last day of May, the last day of Foster care awareness month and to finish off the month, I got to be a part of a gathering with some of my favorite organizations who are supporting children and families who are impacted by foster care- Keystone Family Alliance, Salvation Army Foster and Adopt, Plesion and the Kindness Project, hosted by Faith Church in Allentown, another champion and supporter of children and families impacted by foster care. I am so blessed to have been included with these great organizations doing great work for children and youth!

There are only a few days left in May, Foster Care Awareness month. Young adults aging out of foster care have been through the system and all the instability and rejection, and now they're expected to "adult" all on their own. One of my mentees texted me the other day- We've been meeting quite a while, but a few weeks ago we did our first Bible study together, and she asked- "Can we meet this week to do another Bible study?" Umm... of course! I'm so excited that she enjoyed it and wants to learn more about God's great love and His purposes for her!

I love the girls I mentor! But life can be challenging…. One of the girls is looking for a job and has been looking for almost three months already… prayers appreciated that she’ll find something soon! She has some leads- we’re just praying she hears from one of them soon. I’m blessed that I get to be there with them and encourage them during these tough times and help them with some gas gift cards and food when they need it.

I had a great day today sharing about The Next Wave Ministries at a women’s conference at Morning Star fellowship church and connecting with so many great women- some already friends and some new friends! Then I had some great conversations and connections at Arts Alive. God is definitely moving in this ministry and I’m so excited to see where He leads us next!
