For more than a century, the Fraternal Order of Eagles has had a major positive influence on our region, nation, world... And most importantly on our communities. It was the Eagles who pushed for the founding of Mother's Day, who provided the impetus for Social Security and, who pushed to end job discrimination based on age. The Eagles have provided support for medical c

enters across the country to build and provide research for medical conditions — we raise millions of dollars every year to combat heart disease and cancer, help handicapped kids, uplift the aged and make life a little brighter for everyone. The Fraternal Order of Eagles uphold and nourish the values of home, family and community that are so necessary and it seems so often get ignored and trampled in today's society. We support our police, firefighters, and others who protect and serve. We fund medical research in areas such as spinal cord injuries, kidney disease, diabetes and Alzheimer's. We help raise money for our communities...we are the Eagles and we are "People Helping People."

You’ve supported our events, bought tickets, joined our raffles, volunteered, and helped make this an incredible year.

Now the Vision Committee wants to give a little something back.

Join us Saturday, September 26th from 6–9 PM for our End of Summer Bash!

And we’re excited to announce that Soaklt'n Ciderboys will be playing LIVE! 🎶

We’re keeping this one simple. Come down, grab some food, listen to some great live music, pull up a chair around the fire pit and spend one last summer evening hanging out with your Eagles family and friends.

Please join us on Sunday Sept 6th in welcoming Grand Worthy President John Boyd. Social hour 2 pm, Dinner 3 pm by donation (Pulled Pork sliders, coleslaw and beans) In addition there will be a raffle and car races with all proceeds going to the Make a Wish Foundation. read below for information on our GWP President….

Norman L. “John” Boyd


Norman L. “John” Boyd, Grand Worthy President-Elect of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, joined the organization in July 1985 and is currently a member of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Eagles #3775.

John is a three-time Worthy President of the Cape Girardeau Eagles and has served his Aerie in many additional capacities including Treasurer, Trustee, Conductor, Chaplain and Trial Committee member.

In 2004, he served as the Missouri State Worthy President and spent several years as the Missouri State Aerie Secretary. In 2006, he also served as the South Central Regional Aerie President.

For many years, John served on a variety of Grand Aerie boards and committees and in 2017, at the International Convention in Grand Rapids, Mich., he was formally installed as a Grand Aerie Officer in the position of Grand Worthy Outside Guard, eventually reaching the level of Grand Worthy Vice President at the 2024 International Convention in New Orleans, La.
