Before we head back to school, here is a reminder about Parent Drop Off and Pick Up!
We’d like to remind everyone of our drop-off and pick-up procedures to ensure the safety of all students, staff, and families.
For the safety and efficiency of our arrival and dismissal processes, all students must be dropped off and picked up using the designated parent pick-up and drop-off loop. Please do not use the front office for student drop-off or pick-up unless you have a pre-arranged appointment or special circumstance approved by the school administration.
We also want to remind families that Naches Trail Elementary is a “no walk-up” campus. This means:
ONLY PRESCHOOL & STRUCTURED families are permitted to park and walk their students to their designated drop off zone. Our preschool & structured families are permitted to park at our former Naches Trail Elementary parking area and walk students to their designated drop off zone to the north of the building.
Students should not be dropped off in the parking lot or near the front office.
To ensure staff are able to be in class and ready for students on time, we would like to remind families that our parent drop off loop closes promptly at 9:30 am. Students and families arriving at or after 9:30 am, will need to drop their students off at the main office. Our tardy bell rings at 9:35 am.
All arrivals and dismissals should take place through the designated vehicle loop only.
We understand that it can be difficult, especially at the beginning of the school year, but these procedures are in place to prioritize student safety and maintain a smooth flow of traffic on campus. School staff will be on hand to welcome and assist students as they arrive.
🪪 Parent Pick-Up Placards (Car Hangers)
To ensure a safe and organized dismissal process:
All families who plan to pick up their child by car at the end of the day (3 or more days per week) must obtain a parent pick-up placard (car hanger) from the front office.
The placard must be clearly displayed in the front window of your vehicle each day.
Each car hanger number will be matched with a backpack tag on the student being released.
Students will only be released to vehicles with the correct, matching placard.
If you lose your placard, please contact the front office so we can get a replacement placard ordered for you.
If you have not yet received your car hanger, please stop by the front office as soon as possible.
We greatly appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work together to create a safe, calm, and structured arrival and dismissal process. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out.
