💉Now thats a lot of meds!💉

In rescue we handle a lot of bunnies who come in sick or injured and part of taking care of them is getting them into the vet. Many vet visits for these rabbits require blood work x rays surgeries and of course going home with meds.

Most of these rabbits were dumped and left to fend for themselves and without us they would have died.

🐇Get to know your rabbit to catch things early.

🩺Get them in to an exotic vet for a yearly check up.

🐰Most importantly do not dump your rabbit!!!

🐰✨ Myth Busting Saturday ✨🐰

❌ MYTH: “If a bunny doesn’t like being held or isn’t super social, they must be mean or unhappy.”

✅ FACT: Rabbits have unique personalities, boundaries, and comfort levels — just like people do. Some bunnies are outgoing cuddle bugs, while others prefer affection on their own terms.

Many rabbits dislike being picked up because, as prey animals, being lifted off the ground can feel scary and unsafe to them. That doesn’t mean they don’t love or trust you. A bunny who flops beside you, follows you around, asks for pets, or relaxes near you is often showing affection in their own way. 🩶

Building trust with rabbits means respecting their boundaries and letting them interact at their own pace. The best relationships happen when bunnies feel safe enough to choose you willingly. 🐇✨

Meet our newest intake, Mikey!

Mikey came to us yesterday injured. He is a young intact.Male , who was fighting most likely with another intact male. Him and about thirteen other bunnies had been dumped in a neighborhood, and we are working on trying to figure out trapping and placement.
He has an injury to his back end, but nothing appears to be broken. We have a vet appointment in a couple of days. If you would like to help with his care, donations can be made directly to our vet or the following below.

💵🐰 $5 Friday 🐰💵

This week, we’re trying to raise $600 to help cover the cost of spays and neuters for rescue bunnies waiting for their forever homes. 🩶

Spay and neuter procedures are one of the most important steps in preparing rabbits for adoption. They help improve health, reduce unwanted litters, and make bonding and long-term care easier for adopters. Every bunny deserves that chance. ✨

If just 120 people gave $5 today, we could fully meet our goal and help more rabbits become adoption-ready. Small donations truly add up in a big way. 🐇

Even if you can’t donate, sharing this post helps us reach more bunny lovers who care about rescue and second chances. Thank you for supporting these sweet buns! 💕

🚨Rabbit Stolen From Backyard🚨

Good afternoon I just recieved a call about a bunny stolen from someone's back yard in the Queen Anne area of Seattle. The person of interest could be anywhere between Seattle and Tenino and may have even dumped the rabbit somewhere. Please keep a lookout out for him. The rabbit also has something very noticeable about him when you see him. Please let us know if you have any information about him and this a case already reported to the Seattle Police Department.

Please share this so we can reach as many people as possible. 🙏

Meet Blossom and Bubbles!
These two had been dumped at a rest area and some good samaritians picked them up and brought them in to us. Of course male and female but omg they are besties. We were able to get them in fairly quickly to the vet for a spay and neuter. I just didn't want to separate them. Fortunately she was not pregnant and actually never had been pregnant.
They are two of the sweetest bunnies , love attention and already doing fantastic with their litter box habits. They will be available for adoption in about two weeks. If you are interested in adopting them , please send us a message or go directly to our website and fill out an adoption application.

🐰 Wellness Wednesday 🌿☀️

Rabbits may be covered in fur, but they can overheat surprisingly quickly — especially during warmer weather. Heat stress can become dangerous fast, so keeping bunnies cool is an important part of summer wellness. 💚

Ways to help keep your bunny comfortable:

• Keep them indoors in a cool, shaded environment
• Provide fresh water at all times
• Freeze water bottles or ceramic tiles for them to lay beside
• Increase airflow with fans nearby (not blowing directly on them)
• Offer water-rich greens like romaine or cucumber in moderation
• Watch for warning signs like panting, lethargy, drooling, or warm ears

If a bunny seems overheated, contact a rabbit-savvy vet immediately. Prevention is always best when temperatures rise. 🐇✨

🐰 Tip Tuesday: Managing Bunny Shedding Season 🐰

Did you know a slightly damp hand can help remove loose bunny fur during shedding season?

Simply wet your hands lightly, rub them together so they’re just damp (not soaking wet), and gently pet your rabbit. The loose fur will often cling to your hands, helping remove excess hair before your bunny ingests it while grooming.

✨ Bonus tip:
This can work especially well around the cheeks, back, and sides during heavy molts.

Important reminders:
• Be gentle and move slowly
• Never soak your rabbit’s fur
• Stop if your bunny seems stressed
• Regular brushing is still important for heavy shedding

Removing loose fur can help reduce hair ingestion and keep your bunny more comfortable during seasonal molts. 💛

🐰 Meet the Bunny Monday: Dolly 💕

Say hello to sweet Dolly — a friendly, outgoing girl with a heart as big as her adorable bunny ears. 💛

Dolly was sadly found abandoned after being dumped alongside a few other rabbits when her previous owners moved away. Despite her difficult start, she’s remained incredibly loving, social, and trusting. She’s also a very tidy bunny who keeps her space neat and clean — such a good girl! ✨

Dolly enjoys the company of other bunnies and would likely do very well bonded with a neutered male companion. She also may be a great fit for homes with calm cats or dogs (with proper introductions and approval).

✔️ Spayed female
✔️ Mixed breed
✔️ Friendly & outgoing
✔️ Very clean & tidy
✔️ Litter box trained
✔️ No health issues
✔️ Indoor-only home required

Rabbits are social, intelligent companions who deserve safe indoor homes and lifelong love. Dolly is ready to leave her past behind and finally find the forever family she deserves. 🏡

Could Dolly be “The One” for you? 💕
