1,000 Babies’ Names. One Night.

October is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month 💗🩵

On October 15th, we will gather at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. to honor babies gone too soon.

Our goal: 1,000 babies’ names remembered, each one written on a luminary bag, each one glowing with candlelight.

No matter where you live in the world, your baby can be part of this moment.

Your baby’s name will be:
• Displayed on a luminary at the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool
• All luminaries will be posted on our social media

Be A Part Of The International Wave of Light 🕯️

On Pregnancy & Infant Loss Awareness Day, families around the world will light a candle at 7:00 PM in their own time zone, creating a continuous wave of light across the globe in remembrance of our babies and children.

The TEARS Foundation will host the International Wave of Light ceremony in Washington, DC, and you are invited to join in person or virtually from anywhere in the world.

What to expect
• A luminary bag lit up in front of the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool for every baby registered
• A meaningful remembrance ceremony in Washington, DC (and streamed live)
• Every baby’s name will be read aloud during the live broadcast
• A shared moment of connection, love, and remembrance

On October 15th, we will join families across the world for the National Wave of Light -a night of love, remembrance, and community. Together, we light candles at 7pm local time, creating a continuous wave of light that circles the globe for 24 hours.
