On or about the time my neighbor says this took place it did. I don’t know where to begin. I am devastated to be a part of this situation. I am an informed dog owner and graduate of four courses of instruction (Canyon Crest and Sumner Vets) regarding dog behavior etc. I am the publisher of the Big dog love page on Facebook, formerly an informal means of sharing information on local dog park improvements. Foster parent to large breed dogs. I have had both good and bad experiences. I am currently enrolled in an equine therapy class of no less than eight weeks. I have spoken for other community members at court hearings regarding dogs and I have spoken at many city council meetings regarding dogs and their parks. I have communicated internationally for the city at large regarding more of the same. I assisted one of your officer’s removal of a large breed dog co**se (100 plus lbs.) from a field and to load it into the officer’s vehicle, just because.
My dog Jo-fi grabbed my neighbors’ blouse. I saw it happen, my hands met his face at impact with my neighbor, I was nearby. My neighbor’s have every right to their safety, I agree. Recently the cul-de-sac was prowled, I saw the prowler. Sometime prior to that my same neighbor whom is requesting my dog be declared something had their home burglarized, I don’t know if they were home when it happened, this is of little matter here and now. Myself I have been burglarized, it is a horrible feeling of personal violation of space and being, it is awful. My neighbors are living with that right now and the loss of safety they enjoyed in the cul-de-sac while retrieving mail. I also purchased and installed the mail box of which they were visiting, I sold them controlling interest and two keys. I saw to the security of our community’s mail when our mail boxes were broken into, being a Veteran I have helped see to my neighbor’s security in the past. My neighbor is a lovely alpha type person and, on this day, and time she was asserting herself and truthfully, she was asserting her own alphaness over the dog alpha Jo and the human alpha to Jo, Robert. this was going know where good, I arrive having heard dog barking and human voicing. I see the proximity and move in to establish control of some kind. I grab jo by the face and then listen to my fearful neighbor (I would be fearful too), I say fearful because fear had seized her faculties and I don’t think she was settled until dawn. By the time Jo had met my neighbor in the cul-de-sac they he and Reggie (Reggie was not present on this day) had been well accustomed to asserting their dominance throughout. Doing the work of pushing boundaries and methheads away from here. While performing their requested security activity’s (loosely stated) Jo met the very same neighbor’ dog in the street outside of their home and politely reminded it of its position within the established pecking order of dogs within our cul-de-sac, he drew blood from the ear flap I was told. I was informed of this when the irate husband was visiting. I asked why he had not shared this with me, he responded with something like I did not think it was a big deal. My dogs are working dogs meaning I own them for a purpose and that is to keep my family from having to experience what my neighbor is experiencing in regards to having been burglarized. My neighbors’ dogs too are working dogs, their dog’s job is more about cuteness and fun and visitor announcements, this is good dog work. My dogs do well in these categories also. To this date we have had no further reported incidents of vandalism etc. My neighbor’s husband arrives at my door, he is highly flustered having been informed of what had taken place. I imagined out loud why he felt coming to my home in his emotional condition was appropriate? Did he realize what could be happening here if he were, shall we say, less reasonable, fighting? Shooting? Not tea drinking. One other thing we spoke about, the husband and I was that we were both enjoying a sense of security that neither one of us actually had. He thought by not informing me of my animals’ behavior that he was doing right by the animal and I thought all things within the cul-de-sac were secure without harm. My neighbor and his wife were both informed of the depth of my care for them and their family, this situation bothers me desperately.

Hello everyone. We will have a better chance of our park being built if and when we support any upcoming parks levy request. Don't say I did not tell you, happy new years.

Good people and all the rest ;-)
I have been remiss in my communications with you. The dog park is currently being designed by a cooperative group of folks from the Parks dept, city engineers office and some other fine folks. I would also like to solicit your support in the means of volunteerism. BDL is in need of an electronic media expert aka some help sprucing up the electronic image a little. Also there is a spokesperson opportunity available. If you have some spare time please step forward. Thank you.

Hi folks. It has been awhile since my last update. I try not to report when nothing is happening. We have good news to report. It appears we will have a dog park and it will be within Wildwood Park. The issue now is the timeline. The next two parks board meetings will or should result in establishing the timeline. The talk is to move it up from 2017 to a time tbd. Patience. I will keep you posted.

Hello everyone and welcome back to "You say, " you wanna dog park". There is a meeting coming up with a city engineer and another to determine the scope and ultimately the price tag for getting the park opened as soon as possible. I will try to be there. As always welcome and thank you. I will be in touch.

Hello everyone and Merry Cristmas etc to us all. Thank you for your interest in this issue. It being the holiday season I plan on leaving well enough alone until the new year. Then, we will begin making calls and see what it will take quick and dirty like to get a park opened sooner than 2017. Happy new year and we'll be backwith you sooner than later. V/R

There is a request pending to the city for an amount they think it will take to get the fencing and water in place at Wildwood. When this is learned then we will have a goal to shoot for.

Good news; Several folks at the meeting expressed interest in moving this project to the private sector. The desire is to move the project along more rapidly as it were. More conversations on this coming soon.

I have been trying to post this for three days now. My computer is not cooperating. I will be brief in ths hopes of completing this for you. Bad news; 2015 date moved to 2017, $500,000 reduced to 175,000. I showed them this and encouraged them to consider it. http://saveourdogs.net/2009/08/09/the-calgary-model-for-success/
Two members from City Coucil at meeting also. I will be e-mailing all in attendence this link.

Hi neighbors. Happy Veterans Day. The meeting tonight is not to be. Some sort of holiday or something...nonetheless (one word?) welcome and thank you to our new likes. We would look pretty silly doing this without you.
