Venturing Crew 274 Puyallup

Hello all!

Venturing Crew #274 is planning on going skiing this February 18th! Everyone, regardless of level of fitness, experience or skill is highly encouraged to join us at this event! We will have 2 former ski racers/instructors who will be there to help us learn the basics to start. Learning a new sport can be intimidating but it is highly rewarding and is what Venture scouts is all about. The plan is as follows:

2:00pm- Meet at the North Bend Safeway parking lot for food and to carpool as not every has snow-capable vehicles.
3:00pm- Meet at the Snoqualmie West slope for gear rentals, fittings, and day passes.
4:00pm- We will practice using and maneuvering in our gear and will continue practicing and working on skiing/snowboarding until around 9:30pm when the slope closes.

- “Night” Lift tickets currently start at $43, the earlier you buy, the cheaper. Night tickets are valid from 4:00pm to 9:30pm. Tickets are date specific and online only. Go to https://summitatsnoqualmie.com/lift-tickets to purchase.

- Ski and snowboarding gear rentals are available at the West face and online reservations are required. Pricing varies around $70, do not wait to reserve now as rentals are limited. Go to https://summitatsnoqualmie.com/rentals to reserve your gear.

- As scouts, we are prepared, please check the weather, road conditions and safety alerts at https://wsdot.com/travel/real-time/mountainpasses/snoqualmie before leaving. Remember to wear layers, including and especially water resistant/insulated gloves, pants and jackets.
