This tournament is a qualifier for the WA State Scholastic Chess Championship in April.

We'll see your spectacular kiddos after school today (3-05) for Chess Club! We have a special activity planned for them....

We'll see your spectacular kiddos after school today (3-05) for Chess Club! We have a special activity planned for them. :)

There will be NO Chess Club on Thursday, March 12th. It is a half-day due to conferences.

Important Reminder: Students may not cross into the parking lot by themselves. We noticed that some students tried to do this last week. Please cross the lot to wait in front of the school at 5 p.m. OR pull up alongside the curb. This may seem picky or inconvenient, but your child(ren)'s safety is our number one priority. Large cars cannot always see short kids well.

We appreciate parents following safety procedures by either waiting for their child(ren) in person outside Shaw Road Elementary's front doors OR pulling up alongside the curb.

"This Sunday, February 15th, is the Presidential Scholastic chess tournament, hosted by WCF at Chinook Middle School in Bellevue. At the moment, we have 134 players registered and have room for many more!"
