The gym at the Putney Fire station has been coming together slowly over the last year.

Thanks to donations of gym equipment and purchases of used items, we have been able to collect a good selection to better help our firefighters stay in shape. Having a dedicated gym provides a space close to home for the members of the Fire Department who other wise might have to travel out of town to visit a gym.

There's still work to do, but this space would not be possible without the generosity of our community. We are continuously thankful to those who have made this possible.

One of the many things we have been able to do over the last year, thanks to the generous donations we have received, is to purchase flooring and doors for the 2nd floor of the Putney Fire station.

The 2nd floor has been a work in progress for some time but it is slowly inching towards full completion. We are incredibly thankfull for all the donations that have made this work possible.

When it is completed we will have four bunk rooms, a training room, day room, gym, and kitchen. This space will provide a useful area to the Fire Department during longer duration weather events as well as a more focused environment for education and well-being.

The Putney Firefighters Association would like to thank everyone who donated today at our boot drive fundraiser! We collected over $3,000 thanks to your generosity. The money raised will help the Association purchase additional gym supplies and equipment for our stations 2nd floor.

Through fundraising activities, the Association is able to acquire equipment and supplies which are then donated to the Fire Department. This helps to reduce the burden on taxpayers by purchasing needed items that may not be covered by the normal budget.

Thank you again for your generosity!
