Started the day supporting our Cub Scouts and the Putnam Lodge of Elks 574 , attending the Department of Connecticut Veterans of Foreign Wars State Convention and ended with the retiring of over 1000 US Flags at the VFW Post.

This day should carry a moment of silence for all Americans for the sacrifice that was made so many short years ago. I force myself to watch the opening of saving private Ryan every time this year. We should never forget their sacrifice their courage and those that’s didn’t come home. I remember.
