Adirondack Camp Scholarship Fund

Adirondack Camp Scholarship Fund The Adirondack Camp Scholarship Fund was established in 2004, in conjunction with the centennial anniversary of Adirondack Camp.

The spirit of the eagle never dies...
Our goal is simple — The Fund enables children to attend Adirondack and enjoy experiences that otherwise would not have been possible. In its first year, the Fund sponsored five children and has provided some level of assistance to over 70 children since its formation. With your support, the Fund’s Board members, all former or current Adirondack campers, staff

, or parents, will assure that the Fund remains a lasting, independent, not-for-profit scholarship entity.

Hey! If you wanted one of Rayma Adkisson's 120th reunion posters, but weren't able to get one, you're in luck! We have a few left, and Pam figured out how to get them (safely) into shipping tubes. Have a look!

Note: we're not ready to do a full-blown Shopify site at this time, so we're trying something a little simpler with PayPal. If it doesn't work, please let us know!

All proceeds go towards sending more kids to Camp!

Hey ADK family: The ACSF will be at Camp for Family Visit Day on July 20th! Please stop by our table to learn more about our mission and how you can help (and even grab some swag left over from our First Day of Camp event).

Even if you can't make it, you still have a chance! We've left our FDoC site running for a little bit longer so you can donate or buy some of the swag and have it shipped to you. Reunion mugs, posters from both the 120th and 100th reunions, and even a couple of ACSF t-shirts are left: https://onecau.se/acsfsummer

Every dollar helps send more kids to ADK! Thank you for your support!

Let's be honest, it's Friday afternoon, the holiday gift season is upon us and if you're anything like us you've been adding items to your Amazon cart for at least the past hour.
Why not turn that Amazon account into an Amazon Smile account and know that a portion of your purchase will be donated toward the Adirondack Camp Scholarship Fund at no additional cost to you!

We've heard a lot of gratitude this week for the strong and lasting friendships built at camp. Former camper and staff member, Antonia Croghan , shared her most cherished experience on the peninsula with now husband, Phil Meachin:

"Adirondack has always held a special place in my heart. Like many of my peers, I am grateful for the sparkling waters of Lake George, the countless memories made, and for the life-long friendships forged on the peninsula, The magic of Adirondack took on a whole new meaning this summer when I married my camp friend of 21 years on Senior Point, surrounded by friends, family, and a loving group of Adirondack All-Stars! I am beyond lucky to have married someone who truly understands what camp means to me (and feels the same way!)"

The strength of the relationships, of many kinds, forged at camp cannot be understated. Help us bring that experience to another generation of campers who may not otherwise be able to attend by supporting us this !

Tomorrow is giving Tuesday! We hope you're settling back into your routine after quality time with family and friends. We are definitely thankful for the experiences we get to share them. Former camper, current parent, and scholarship board chair, Adam Cermak shared a similar sentiment when describing what makes him thankful for Adirondack Camp.

"When it comes to Adirondack Camp, I am grateful for all it has given me and my family. For me, so many wonderful memories, special friendships and values that shape who I am today. For both my boys, who have been fortunate to spend time at camp, I am thankful for all they get to experience while there each summer - from blue-white (How White), to the abundance of activities, to time away from electronics, to the dances, trips, and simply hanging out on the ball field and/or in the cabin, they treasure every moment. I am so grateful that Adirondack Camp offers so much to so many families.

Finally, as Chair of the Adirondack Scholarship Fund, I am grateful for all of our donors who provide kids who would not otherwise have the opportunity to attend Adirondack Camp that life changing experience. Thank you for valuing and investing in the important work that Camp does everyday to shape youth by make it a reality for our scholarship recipients. You are helping to create a rich and diverse camp community and passing your connections on to others."

The day after Thanksgiving we are so full; from delicious food and also from time spent with family and friends. And we are also so grateful. When we asked Gemma Badini, former camper and board member, why she is grateful for camp she shared the following:

“I am grateful that camp gave me a place to return to every summer growing up and to this day. The peninsula is where my heart is, it’s where I met some of my oldest and dearest friends, and where I grew up in so many ways. I am forever grateful for all those things and the lifetime of memories camp has given me.”

As you think about all the reasons you are grateful for camp, consider making a gift to the Adirondack Camp Scholarship Fund so that we can continue to give the camp experience to those who otherwise would not be able to afford it.
