Freedom Ranch Wildlife Center

Freedom Ranch Wildlife Center This page strives to bring joy to the heart of others using God's beautiful creation and especially create a love of native birds of prey.

Freedom Ranch supports the conservation of wildlife through education programs using unreleasable birds of prey and other exotic animals (mostly discarded exotic pets). We give new purpose to animals who can no longer contribute to the ecosystem due to injury and would otherwise be euthanized. Our goal is to touch the hearts of people with God's creation to bring glory to Him and to inspire others to be good stewards of the earth and all who live on it.

That’s a wrap for the school year! Thanks to West Lauderdale Elementary, we ended with a bang. We had the opportunity to reach over 400 students with some terrific animals.

Training session #1 with Mariah on this training perch. My goal is to increase the flight distance which means she needs to wait until she’s called.
This is what it looks like to work with a highly imprinted vulture. Remain calm when she is not calm and protect your face.
She’s obviously having fun which makes me happy.
Maybe one day she will fly at events again. Takes time to build that courage and trust.
Stay tuned.

We have found a friend for Marty in South FL and have been approved by the rehabber. Now we wait for the signature from USFWS to make the journey to pick him up.
Peace River Wildlife Center is the same facility Hitch the Fish Crow came from 10 years ago!
