We received another generous donation today. More funds are still needed to maintain and improve the cemetery so we can all enjoy this gorgeous spot. I am hoping we can all get together sometime in future and have a picnic. If anyone wants to organize a family get together let me know.

This page is for anyone looking for information on the Engel Cemetery. If anyone is interested in helping out or donating either monetary or time it is greatly appreciated.

The Cemetery was mowed earlier this month (August ) and trimmed. In the last week the graves have been filled in with fill dirt, trees trimmed, mesquite poisoned, trees removed off graves and part of the ditch filled in. Depending on growth I anticipate another mow mid September. Funds are very limited so until we have more money I am stretching the mows as far as we can without it being too expensive. It’s cheaper to mow more often than if we let it go. Also several mesquites are showing evidence of already starting to die.

I have had multiple comments on how great the cemetery is looking. I really want to keep it up and hope that others will join the efforts.

For 2018 we had $500 donation from Schiferl family for a plot and another $25 donation in Memory of Shirley Thomas.

For 2019 we have had a generous donation of $300. We are still short funds despite the donation. If anyone else wants to contribute please mail me a check or send to my PayPal account. I’m currently using my Evant bank account as a holding account. You can also deposit directly into that account if it’s easier to stop in. I am happy to acknowledge anyone who donated or keep it private if you prefer.
