We recently celebrated the ribbon-cutting of our brand-new Med Team Housing!
This new housing is an important investment in the medical professionals who care for our Campers each week. Throughout the summer, Camp Barnabas will host over 230 Med Team members from across the United States. This group includes 20 physicians, 112 nurses, 67 nursing students, 28 Well House assistants, and 10 Med Team interns.
The home includes a full residential kitchen, laundry facilities, and spacious gathering areas for meals, fellowship, and team meetings. It comfortably sleeps 21 and features five bedrooms for nurses, two private physician suites, including one with a kids' loft, and separate men's and women's restrooms.
By providing dedicated housing for our Med Team, we opened space in the Well House, which provides more overnight rooms for medically fragile Campers and allows us to establish a dedicated quarantine wing for Campers, Missionaries, or Staff who need time to recover.
