The facility could potentially support activities such as:

🏀 Basketball
⚽ Indoor Soccer
🥍 Indoor Lacrosse
🤸 Cheer & Dance
🤼 Wrestling
🏃 Indoor Track

And your input matters!

Loudoun County wants to hear from parents, athletes, coaches, and community members about what type of facility would best serve our growing community.

📍 IN-PERSON PUBLIC INPUT SESSIONS:

🗓️ Thursday, September 17 at 6:30 p.m.
📍 Briar Woods High School, Ashburn

🗓️ Wednesday, September 23 at 6:30 p.m.

If your family participates in youth sports in Loudoun County, please consider attending and sharing your thoughts! This could have a huge impact on the future of indoor sports and activities in our community.

Let’s show Loudoun County how much our athletes and families need more opportunities and space to play, compete, train, and grow! 🙌

Registration for our Fall Lacrosse Programs will close at midnight Saturday September 5th!

Our season kicks off on Sunday Sep 13th.

We need more players at every grade for our Fall Ball program. Fall Ball is recreational pickup style field lacrosse played on an outdoor roller rink at Franklin Park in Purcellville. No practice, just show up, play and have FUN!

Little Scoopers and Skills Academy focuses on individual skills development in a fun, fast low stress environment. We still have slots available there as well.

Every season folks wait and miss out. For more info about us go to wllax.com.

WANTED! NEW and returning lacrosse players! We’re excited about Western Loudoun Lacrosse Fall Ball, but we need more players in every grade (boys and girls) to register in order to make the program happen!

This season will feature modified field rules for girls—no extra equipment needed just goggles, stick and a mouthpiece—and a fun, safe sixes format for boys, all played outdoors on the roller rink at Franklin Park in Purcellville.

If you’ve been thinking about signing up, please don’t wait! And if your player has a friend, teammate, or neighbor who might enjoy playing, please share this with them. Fall Ball is a great complement to our Skills Academy or as a standalone program.

Every registration makes a difference. Let’s get our numbers where they need to be and make Fall Ball happen!

Register now by clicking on the link in the comments section.

Thank you to everyone who has already registered—we really appreciate your support!

Today we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Memorial Day is a time to reflect with gratitude on the courage, dedication, and selflessness of those who gave their lives to protect our freedoms.

As we spend time with family and friends, let us also take a moment to remember the heroes and the families who carry their legacy forward.

Wishing everyone a meaningful and safe Memorial Day!

Notable and prominent fallen Military heros that also played lacrosse include:

LT Brendan Looney: A standout lacrosse player at the U.S. Naval Academy and a captain on the Navy team. Looney became a decorated Navy SEAL and tragically died in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan in 2010. The Navy lacrosse team annually honors his legacy by awarding his No. 40 jersey to the most deserving teammate.

Sgt. James (Jimmy) J. Regan: A high school All-American and a standout midfielder for the Duke University Blue Devils. After September 11, he turned down lucrative Wall Street job offers and law school scholarships to enlist in the U.S. Army. Regan served four tours as an Army Ranger and was killed in action by an IED in northern Iraq in 2007. His legacy is supported by the Lead The Way Fund.

1LT Raymond Enners: A champion lacrosse player at the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. He served as an officer in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was killed in action in 1968. The Enners family's athletic legacy lives on, and multiple prestigious lacrosse awards are given out yearly in his honor.

Capt. Bob Dolan: A former lacrosse player at the U.S. Naval Academy who had a distinguished 20-year career in the Navy. He was serving as the commander of the U.S.S. John Hancock and was working at the Pentagon when he was killed during the September 11 terrorist attacks.
