Snow days make everything look picture-perfect… ❄️ but as soon as temperatures bounce around, that snow begins to melt. The warm air from inside your home melts the snow on the upper portion of your roof first, and the water flows downward until it hits the colder gutter line—where it freezes again. That frozen ridge is called an ice dam, and it can block proper drainage. When water has nowhere to go, it can seep under the shingles, saturate the decking, and eventually show up as ceiling spots, wet insulation, or even interior leaks.

If you notice anything, don't climb on the roof—give us a call. We'll take a safe look for you.

💜 October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month 💜

McClain County Domestic Violence Awareness is still here for YOU. While we’ve taken a short break this year to regroup and strengthen our mission, we are preparing to return even stronger in 2026.

📊 Oklahoma Domestic Violence Stas (2025):
• Oklahoma ranks among the highest in the U.S. for domestic violence prevalence: 👩 49.1% of women and 👨 40.7% of men report experiencing domestic violence in their lifetime.
• In 2023, the Oklahoma Domestic Violence Fatality Review Board recorded 122 domestic violence homicides with a 16% increase from the year before.
• Oklahoma City alone has already seen 5 domestic violence-related homicides in 2025.

These numbers are heartbreaking reminders that awareness, prevention, and support remain urgent.

*Update*

I wanted to hop on and let all of our followers know we are still here and active! We’ve been helping our community and taking calls from those in need. I have been very busy with several life changes and have moved out of town but will be back in Purcell soon!

I am so sorry we have not been as active as we should be and would like to be, but we are still putting in the work to help those in our community who are in need of a way out!

Hello all followers of the McClain County Domestic Violence Awareness 💜

We haven’t been as active this month, since our awareness walk to be more specific. This first walk was met with plenty of obstacles and so many more opportunities when we started this in February. As I look back and see the progress we have made, I have no doubt in my mind that we will continue to grow and support so many within our community! The awareness month is almost over, but domestic violence is still a very relevant issue.

We plan to have a 5K in the spring at the Purcell Lake. In the meantime take a look at what’s happening around your community and support as much as you can. One nice gesture and save so many and that’s what we are aiming to do!

A student at the University of Oklahoma, a student employee of Megan’s, has shared a DV event that her business fraternity is holding across the nation to help raise money for awareness! This hard working college student is doing her part and all we have to do is do ours.
