DEEP CREEK LODGE HAS RECEIVED A $1000 FREEDOM GRANT (CIP-COMMUNITY INVESTMENT PROGRAM FROM ENF).

The Freedom Grant is to be used specifically to serve our nation’s veterans and/or active-duty military members in need.

This year we are partnering with the Douglas T. Jacobson State Veteran’s Nursing Home in Port Charlotte. They have requested that we purchase electric razors with these funds. Having electric razors will allow their residents to be independently responsible for their hygiene. Our plan is to limit the cost of the razors to between $30 and $50, allowing us to purchase around 30 razors.

We're asking our members for help. We need advice on which types of razors are quality razors at a good price and can handle a variety of facial hair situations.

Also, we will need volunteers to purchase and/or deliver these razors. This project will run through the month of November. Any interested members may contact me through email, [email protected] and I will reach out to you accordingly. Please put Freedom Grant in the email subject line so it immediately catches my attention.

Thank you,
Stephanie Hegeland
