After delivering our donations to Veterans Village, they provided us an apartment tour of Veteran Village Resident - Leonard Raymond.

Veterans Village provides transitional housing for a maximum of 24 Veterans. The program focuses on helping Veterans rebuild their lives through structured housing, case management, life-skills development, and access to behavioral health services. Rent is income-based, ensuring affordability and accessibility for all participants.

With an emphasis on stability, wellness, and preparation for independent living, the program offers individualized support and coordinated care.

Deep Creek Elks had a busy morning today. Jed Koontz, Jeff Kempton, Pam Setchell, and Barbara Wastart, loaded up the donated items for delivery to Veterans Village. With the help of our members we delivered an estimated value of $2000 in donations. Thank you to our members for your generosity and support of Veterans in our community.

Melvin Boyd, Program Manager for Veterans Village, provided us a tour of the facilities and provided additional information on their program and all they do to assist Veterans.

PER Scott Helgeland and Stephanie former Secretary stopped in Potsdam, NY and met ER Dusty Baker. They exchanged lodge pins and got the grand tour. Thanks Scott and Stephanie for extending the warmth and friendship from Deep Creek Elks.

Through the Hoop Shoot program, the Elks have been unleashing grit for more than 50 years—long before researchers and experts concluded that grit is so important for our children. Deep Creek Elks Lodge will once again be working with Charlotte County School District with our Elks Hoop Shoot. More info will be forthcoming.

We honored our Flag today in full regalia. Thank you to all that joined in on this ceremony and celebration. Our Lodge raised $550 for local charities today. Thank you.
