Our mission is to provide a safe and secure home where teen foster boys are encouraged to love themselves, have faith, and develop relationships to best prepare them for the future. We are a nonprofit group foster home with two locations in Charlotte County for boys from all over Florida who have a demonstrated history of being difficult for case workers to place with traditional foster families.

The boys we serve are between 12 and 17 years old and have been difficult to place due to behaviors, legal charges, a history of running away from their foster placements, or multiple previous failed placements, including school placements. These boys are also academically challenged and have extensive therapeutic needs. Additionally, these youth often struggle with social and life skills. ❤️ Sometimes the most meaningful moments happen right at home. 🍪

Last night, thanks to a cookie mix donated by the Rotary Club of Babcock Ranch, our incredible direct care staff spent the evening baking cookies with some of our boys at the Davidson Campus. What started as a simple snack became something so much bigger—laughter, conversation, connection, and memories being made.

Many of the youth we serve have experienced an average of 15 different placements before coming to us. Stability, safety, and consistent relationships are things they have often gone without. That's why moments like these matter. Building relationships isn't just about the big trips or special events. It's about showing up every day, spending time together, sharing a snack, and letting a child know they are valued, safe, and loved.

At Crossroads Hope Academy, healing happens through relationships, and those relationships are built one moment at a time.

If you know anyone upgrading their furniture or downsizing in any way, we are sorely in need of new couches and loveseats at our Nix Campus. We will happily come to you to pick up at your convenience!

We are not particular on color or material but we do want to note that we CANNOT accept sofa beds and we prefer couches and loveseats without recliners because those tend to wear out/break much more quickly than traditional couches, especially in an extremely high use environment like Crossroads!

💙 This Father’s Day, we celebrate the incredible volunteers, mentors, and direct care staff of Crossroads Hope Academy.

For many of the young men we serve, you have been the first positive father figure they’ve ever known—offering guidance, stability, encouragement, and hope. 🙌

🏠 This week, two of our youth had the opportunity to serve alongside us at Midwest Food Bank Florida, helping load and unload food that will support our residential foster care program. 🏠

Food banks across America help families, churches, residential homes, and community organizations provide essential resources to underserved populations. 👏🙏

We are grateful for partners who make this possible and proud of our youth for stepping up to serve. 🙌

Summertime Funtime!!

Yesterday was a bittersweet day at Crossroads Hope Academy as we said goodbye to Manny as he turned 18.

In the year and a half that Manny was with us, we had the absolute pleasure of watching him grow and mature from a angry, withdrawn, frustrated kid to a hardworking, polite, and patient young man. He became the biggest of big brothers at the Davidson Campus, a true leader who guided and mentored the younger boys and didn't hesitate to step in when he heard them being disrespectful to staff or each other. Manny has been an exceptional role model for all our youth, and he will be truly missed by kids, staff, and volunteers alike.

Over the past few days, Manny made sure to go around campus and say a personal goodbye to all the staff, thanking them for all their support during his time at Crossroads. There were lots of hugs all around...and yes, a few tears too.

Manny, we are so proud of the young man you have become, and we know there are great things in store for you. Please know that we already miss you a ton and that your Crossroads family will always be here for you when you need us.

Please join us in wishing Manny a (belated) 18th birthday 🎂 and praying for him as he moves on to the next chapter of his life 💙

When the Florida heat index is pushing 100 degrees, you've got to get creative! ☀️🔥

Our boys always love trips to the pool, but with temperatures soaring, we knew it was important to mix in some air-conditioned fun too. So off to Spinz Skating & Entertainment they went for an afternoon of roller skating—and they loved every minute of it! 🛼

From racing around the rink to showing off their best moves (and a few not-so-graceful ones), the laughter was nonstop. Even Mr. Dan, one of our newest staff members, laced up some skates and joined in on the action! We're not saying he was the fastest skater out there, but we're not saying he wasn't, either. 😄

Finding positive, active ways for our boys to have fun together is an important part of life at Crossroads, and roller skating was the perfect way to cool off while staying active during this week's scorching temperatures.

A big thank you to Spinz for providing a cool place to make some great memories! ❤️

🥋🙌 A HUGE THANK YOU to Alchemy Martial Arts for partnering with Crossroads Hope Academy and providing FREE Jiu-Jitsu classes for our boys every Wednesday throughout the summer! ☀️

These classes are about so much more than learning martial arts. Our boys are gaining valuable life skills like discipline 💪, self-confidence 🌟, respect 🤝, perseverance 🏆, and self-control 🎯. Best of all, they absolutely love it! 😄

The boys consistently tell us how much fun they’re having and how much they appreciate the instructors, who are passionate about teaching ❤️ and genuinely invested in helping them grow into strong, successful young men. 👏

We are incredibly grateful for community partners like Bethany Hunt at Alchemy Martial Arts who are making a lasting difference in the lives of the youth we serve. 🙏

💙🏡 At Crossroads Hope Academy, we strive to give every young man in our care a safe, stable home where they can experience normalcy, build healthy relationships, and create lasting memories. 🌟

And there's nothing that accomplishes those three things quite like being able to get together with your close friends over the summer!

This school year, Bentlee formed a special friendship with a very sweet classmate, and as our youngest Crossroads youth, we felt it was important that he has the opportunity to see her over the summer as much as possible. Her mom has been incredibly supportive, including him in fun weekend activities like swimming 🏊‍♂️, attending sporting events ⚾🏈, and spending quality time together.

While these moments may seem ordinary, they are truly life-changing for the boys we serve. Positive relationships and community connections help build confidence belonging, and hope for the future. 🙌💙
