Crossroads Hope Academy

Crossroads Hope Academy Nonprofit group home for teenage foster boys who have had multiple failed placements in the system Marion Ave #510267, Punta Gorda, FL 33951

Our mission is to provide a safe and secure home where teen foster boys are encouraged to love themselves, have faith, and develop relationships to best prepare them for the future. We are a nonprofit group foster home with two locations in Charlotte County for boys from all over Florida who have a demonstrated history of being difficult for case workers to place with traditional foster families.

The boys we serve are between 12 and 17 years old and have been difficult to place due to behaviors, legal charges, a history of running away from their foster placements, or multiple previous failed placements, including school placements. These boys are also academically challenged and have extensive therapeutic needs. Additionally, these youth often struggle with social and life skills. We have another big graduation to celebrate! Please join us in congratulating Bentlee on graduating from 5th grade at Sallie Jones Elementary School on Thursday! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿงก

This school year came with its ups and downs, but Bentlee showed so much growth both academically and socially, and we could not be more proud of how far he has come. A very special thank you to his amazing teachers, Mrs. Klossner and Mrs. Hayes, along with all of the staff and administrators at Sallie Jones who helped make this such a positive and successful year for him. Your encouragement, patience, and support made a huge difference for our youngest Crossroads boy!

Next stop: Punta Gorda Middle School! ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฆ…โค๏ธ

We canโ€™t wait to see whatโ€™s ahead for you, Bentlee!

GUESS WHAT TIME IT IS?!

โ˜€๏ธ SUMMER BREAK TIME โ˜€๏ธ

We believe every teenage boy deserves a summer break filled with fun, laughter, and positive memories.

Our boys have typically been very sheltered from normal youth experiences. Over the summer we plan weekly trips and activities for them, including SkyZone, Dave & Busters, Top Golf, and SunSplash plus regular visits to the county pools, North Port Aquatic Center, and movies. In addition to these trips being fun for the boys, they also expand their horizons, inspire hope for the future, and encourage relationship building with each other and staff.

And we need your help ๐Ÿซต to make this summer happen.

No matter the size, your gift gives more than just a fun day out. It provides confidence, connection, and the chance for our boys to experience the kind of joyful moments every teenager deserves.

Will you help us give our boys a Summer to Remember?

This holiday week our hearts are full of gratitude for the incredible community that came together to serve the boys at our Davidson Campus. โค๏ธ

Over the course of two days, volunteers donated their time, talent, and treasure to help rebuild and refresh areas of our campus for our teen foster boys. Projects included repairing porches, fixing garden shed doors, improving dorm entryways, and completing much-needed campus improvements โ€” all while providing meals for our residents and volunteers throughout the holiday and following day.

This amazing campus rebuild was led by Jeanette Reynolds from Welcome Home SWFL, LLC who applied for the grant, coordinated volunteers, and helped prepare and serve meals alongside an incredible team of supporters.

A special thank you to:

๐Ÿ”จ 84 Lumber Company for generously donating lumber and materials

๐Ÿ”จ Mister G Handyman Services LLC for spearheading the construction operation and leading the work crews

Kitchen Volunteers:
โ€ข Ms. Rebecca
โ€ข Alexandra, Jeanette, and Franco from Welcome Home SWFL

Outside Volunteers:
โ€ข Olivia Organized Oasis LLC
โ€ข Rita and Scott from The Glass Guru of Fort Myers, FL
โ€ข Stephanie and Matthew from Creative Performance Academy
โ€ข Tanner, Carlos, Oscar, Alberto, Garvin and Maciel

Your kindness, sacrifice, and servant hearts made a lasting impact on our boys and campus. It truly takes a village to raise our boys, and we are beyond thankful for everyone who spent their holiday working together to pour love into our home.

Thank you for showing our young men that they are valued, supported, and surrounded by a caring community. ๐Ÿ’™

We are so proud to celebrate Manny, who was the recipent of The Academy Wolfpack Spirit of the Wolf Award at last week's graduation ceremony. Ms. Baker's speech to Manny covers pretty much all the bases for why our boy is so wonderful. To share just a small excerpt (full speech in the video):

Yesterday at our Davidson Campus, deputies from the Charlotte County Sheriffโ€™s Office came out for a very different kind of callโ€ฆone that involved basketballs instead of badges. ๐Ÿ€๐Ÿš”

Our boys got the chance to hit the court with the deputies for some friendly competition, plenty of laughs, and maybe a few debates over who really had the better jump shot. (Weโ€™ll stay neutral on who took home bragging rights! ๐Ÿ˜„)

Moments like these are about more than the final score. Theyโ€™re opportunities to build relationships, strengthen connections, and create positive experiences our boys will remember.

A huge thank you to the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office for spending time with our youth and showing them that sometimes the best teamwork happens both on and off the court. We appreciate you!

๐ŸŽ“ Yesterday was a day worth celebrating at Crossroads Hope Academy as we proudly watched two of our incredible young men, Manny and Jasen, graduate from high school from The Academy Wolfpack ๐Ÿบ

This accomplishment represents far more than earning a diploma. Like nearly all youth in foster care, Manny and Jasen faced significant obstacles on their journey. Foster youth often experience school changes, instability, trauma, and interrupted learning that can make educational success incredibly difficult. Nationally, students in foster care graduate at significantly lower rates than their peers, and many face additional barriers that can impact their path to graduation. These challenges make milestones like yesterdayโ€™s ceremony even more meaningful.

At Crossroads, one of our core values is resilience, and Manny and Jasen lived that value every step of the way. Resilience is finding the strength to keep moving forward when the odds seem stacked against you. It is getting back up after setbacks, continuing to believe in yourself, and choosing to keep working toward the future you deserve. Yesterday, these two young men proved exactly what resilience looks like.

We also want to give a special shoutout to Manny, who received The Spirit of the Wolf award ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿ† an incredible honor and a reflection of the character, perseverance, and heart he has shown along the way. We couldn't be more proud! Video of that and both boys receiving their diplomas will be coming Friday...stay tuned!

Yesterday wasn't just about two young men receiving diplomas. It was about perseverance. It was about growth. It was about resilience.

Please join us in congratulating Manny and Jasen on this incredible achievement and wishing them the very best as they begin the next chapter of their journey! ๐Ÿ’™
