Power of 100 fall meeting is Thursday November 7th.
We're just one week away from the Fall 2024 Power of 100 Fall Impact Meeting held at the Twin Isles Country Club at 301 Madrid. Social gathering and registration begins at 6:30, and the meeting will start promptly at 7:00 pm.

A few members had an opportunity to visit and tour the Virginia B Andes Community Clinic and see the new state of the art mobile clinic bus.

Our May 2024 impact award meeting was held on Thursday, May 2nd. Our membership has grown to 90 members. Thank you to each of you for helping us make a difference in Charlotte County.

The winning organization for the May Impact Award was the Virginia B. Andes Volunteer Community Clinic - a Florida nonprofit corporation with a current 501 (c)3 tax exempt status. The mission of VBA Clinic is to provide no-cost primary and semi-urgent medical services and prescription medication to our uninsured neighbors in Charlotte County. Our Power of 100 Punta Gorda Members helped to raise $9,475 for the Virginia B. Andes Clinic at this year's meeting. And then we received a special donation from the Richard M. Schulz Foundation of a 50% match of monies raised by the Power of 100 Punta Gorda! This means an additional donation of $5000, bringing the total raised to $14,475. for the Virginia B, Andes Volunteer Clinic! Amazing job everyone! You can continue to help support this organization by visiting their website to learn more or to sign up as a volunteer.

At the May Meeting, members also donated $1745 to Habitat for Humanity and $1225 to Hope DeSoto.

Together the Power of 100 Punta Gorda has helped to raise $22,560 in 2023 and so far in 2024 we have raised $17,445 with more Still to come.

The Spring Impact Meeting for the Power of 100 - Punta Gorda will be held on Thursday, May 2nd at the Twin Isles Country Club. Check in, raffle tickets, 50/50 and the meet and greet begins at 6:30 with the meeting starting promptly at 7:00 pm.

We are a group of community-minded women whose goal is to have a greater impact on charitable giving in Charlotte County.

Our November meeting is complete and we can finally let you all know how great the Impact Meeting went: $12,980. It is huge. Not only did CHEC, our Impact winner go home with $9000, but the 2 other charities, Archway and PRWC took home $2240 and $1740, respectively.

WHAT AN AWESOME NIGHT! Thank you all for helping make this possible, we look forward to seeing you in May.
