In the process, a climate will be created that enables underrepresented alums, students, faculty, and staff to not only survive but thrive in communities that foster a sense of belonging in a culture of inclusion. Creation of an institutional culture in which inclusion and equity are the norms, a model that helps move the world toward a place in which all people are treated with dignity and respect.

Cougs, thank you for an amazing Member Appreciation Month! Thank you to the new members we gained and the members who have stuck by us year after year. Being a member allows us to continuously expand the ways alumni and friends of WSU can become meaningfully engaged with the University and each other. We appreciate our members so much and hope you felt the love this past month.

Nominations for WSUAA Awards are now open, recognizing Cougs who have made a lasting impact on WSU, their profession, their community and beyond.

Take Dr. Jeffrey Franks ’84, a recent Alumni Achievement Award recipient. Throughout his distinguished career in international public service, he has mentored WSU students and young alumni, shared his expertise through career panels and helped inspire future leaders in international affairs, economics and public policy.
