We'll be taking over the courtyard at the historic Cosmopolitan Hotel & Restaurant in Old Town San Diego for an afternoon of street tacos, music from DJ Maki, photos with Butch, and plenty of Cougar camaraderie before heading to Snapdragon Stadium. Today, June 18, marks 43 years since NASA Astronaut Sally K. Ride became the first American woman in space, when she launched with her four crewmates aboard the Space Shuttle Challenger. One of those crewmates was Cougar alum (1962) and Alumni Association Achievement Award recipient, John N. Fabian. During the historic flight, Colonel Fabian shared his Cougar Pride with the first button in space.
