By bringing a variety of quality entertainment at affordable prices, we hope to enhance our community through music & arts. In addition to the shows we put on, we are open to those in the community that want to host events. We have held seminars, hosted local dance & theater groups, participated in community events & award ceremonies, & provide rentals for private events. We operate on the money b

rought in from our shows, donations, and grant money. In 1924 Dix-Richardson Dry Goods took over. Renovated and re-opened as the Pulaski Theatre in 1937 as a movie house. After attendance dropped, the Theatre closed again in 1991 and fell into disrepair. Given to the County of Pulaski in 1992 it was slated for destruction. In 1993 the "Friends of Pulaski Theatre" was formed, saved the Theatre and began the long road to renovation and reopening. The Theatre showed it's first movie in April 2012 since re-opening in 2008.

Tomorrow is the big day in downtown Pulaski!

Join us at 2:30 PM for the ribbon cutting celebrating the new mural by Jay Scott Studios on the Fine Arts Center building at 21 West Main Street. This exciting project was made possible through support from the Appalachian Regional Commission and the collaborative work of ’Round the Mountain Artisan Network, the Town of Pulaski, and the Fine Arts Center.

After the ribbon cutting, The Fritz Schindler Band will lead us to Pulaski Theatre for Rhythm by the Rails!

Please remember that the festival has moved indoors to Pulaski Theatre. The music will continue as planned from 3:00–9:00 PM:

3:00–3:20 PM: GRAPe JAM
3:30–5:00 PM: The Fritz Schindler Band
5:30–7:00 PM: Jimothy
7:30–9:00 PM: The Woogemen

Artist vendors will be set up across the street inside the Fine Arts Center, where there will also be children’s art activities. Bootleg Barbecue and Cousins Maine Lobster will be serving food nearby on Main Street.

Come early for the ribbon cutting, stay for the music, visit our artists, grab something delicious to eat & visit Main Street businesses, and spend the afternoon and evening with us in downtown Pulaski!

IMPORTANT RHYTHM BY THE RAILS UPDATE: We’re Moving Indoors!

Due to the high chance of scattered thunderstorms Saturday afternoon, we have made the difficult decision to move Rhythm by the Rails from Jackson Park to Pulaski Theatre.

The location is changing, but the festival is still happening Saturday, August 8, from 3:00–9:00 PM!

All three of our headlining bands will perform as scheduled:

• The Fritz Schindler Band
• Jimothy
• The Woogemen

The Greater Pulaski Junior Appalachian Musicians will take stage at the start of the festival.

Our artist vendors will be set up across the street inside the Fine Arts Center. Bootleg Barbecue and Cousins Maine Lobster will be serving food on the street nearby.

Make a day of it and enjoy visiting all of the great nearby Main Street businesses!

The mural ribbon cutting will take place as planned at 2:30 PM in front of the Fine Arts Center at 21 West Main Street. Afterward, The Fritz Schindler Band will help lead the way to Pulaski Theatre for the start of the festival at 3:00 PM.

We’re disappointed that the weather has changed our plans, but we’re grateful to Pulaski Theatre for providing a wonderful indoor venue where the music can continue. Please help us spread the word about the new location, and come join us for a great afternoon and evening in downtown Pulaski!

Update: Baby boy’s parents are picking him up this morning to take him back him back home ❤️

If anyone is looking for their baby boy he is at the Pulaski Marketplace (train station) hiding from the thunderstorm. 🥺

Is anyone missing this cutie boy? Poor baby is scared to death of the thunder and found refuge at the Pulaski Market Place.

‼️Today ‼️
🎹July 19th at 4pm 🚨
Don’t miss the experience that is the Reverend Billy C. Wirtz.
Yes, this show is an experience 😂
Thank you New River Blues Society for bringing us this gem 💎
Ol’ Billy is the ultimate all in one performer. So you can have an all in one stop today at the Pulaski Theatre today, the ultimate productive Sunday. 😁
🎤The Rev. Billy C. Wirtz is an accomplished blues musician, a master of witty satire and a comedic genius. He is a writer, and ordained minister of a parody church (because why not?)! 🤣
Join us for some boogie-woogie keyboard, sharp social commentary, and side-splitting humor, with some soul tapping blues music and comedic storytelling.
Get a good chuckle from his original hits like Backslider's Tractor Pull and Deep Fried and Sanctified 😂🤣

⚠There is use of some spicy words and hilarious adult situation stories and lyrics to this performance in the name of comedy 🧐, so we don't advise you being your young ones but hey, you're their guardian and we are just letting you know 🤗.

🎫Tickets are $15
Doors open at 3pm
Show starts at 4pm
