A BIG thank you to the students of Mrs Berry’s 5th grade class from Richland Elementary. They have a Lemonade Stand in the lobby of STRHS and 50% of the proceeds go directly to CB Outreach.

We truly can’t say thank you enough to everyone who volunteered their time, gave generously, and donated items to make the WKSR Radio Auction a success in support of CB Outreach.

Yesterday (2/22), the auction set a new one-day record, raising over $45,000 for CB Outreach!

The two-Sunday total also reached a record-breaking amount, finishing just shy of $75,000 in proceeds.

We are incredibly grateful for this community’s support — THANK YOU for making a difference, Giles County!

We will be accepting baked goods and food items tomorrow starting at 8 a.m.

Since CB Outreach (located at 511 S. 1st Street in the former CB Grocery Store) is the recipient of this year’s WKSR Radio Auction on February 15th & 22nd, we’d love to give you a glimpse of what happens throughout the year, or weekly, at CB Outreach.

CB Outreach is a ministry made up of local churches working together to meet the needs of our community with compassion, dignity, and the love of Christ. So what does that look like in real life?

Throughout the year—and often week by week—CB Outreach serves our community in meaningful ways, including:

💛 Wrap Closet of Giles County – Supporting foster children and foster families by providing clothing, toiletries, baby items, furniture, and other essential needs.

💛 Parents Night Out for Foster Families – Offering encouragement and rest for those caring for children in foster care.

💛 Foster & Adoption Forums – Creating a space to ask questions and learn more about what fostering or adopting truly looks like.

💛 Night of Joy – A special Christmas celebration for foster families and the children they care for.

💛 Free Community Meals on Thursdays – Serving a hot meal every Thursday from 5:00 PM until the food is gone, often reaching up to 300 people in a single evening.

💛 Free Dental Day – Each November, partnering with Dr. Tesa Jolly and her team to provide free dental care to hundreds in our community.

💛 Faith & Blue – Working alongside local law enforcement to build relationships, raise awareness, and promote a safer community.

💛 Veterans Day Event – Honoring our veterans and reminding them they are valued, appreciated, and not forgotten.

💛 Back-to-School Haircuts – Each July, local barbers and hairstylists come together to provide free haircuts for students as they prepare for a new school year.

💛 Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day Lunch

💛 Looking ahead, we are prayerfully exploring additional ways to serve, including after-school tutoring, youth counseling, and other opportunities to meet the growing needs of our community.
