We had SUCH an energy-filled, AMAZING time at the 28th Annual Pulaski Area Chamber of Commerce Golf Outing that we didn't remember to pull the camera out nearly enough. As the sun set last Saturday, we spent the Golden Hour gathered as a community in celebration of the completed artworks by Kim Wozniak and her team.

We heard how the art came to life...
We heard stories behind the photos...
There were a few tears...
And together, we recognized how special life and the history of Pulaski is.

Please visit Shippy Park and get your own experience with the seating. We think you'll love it. And then keep watch...there's more where this came from.

Feel Good Friday!

Bright and early this morning, we spotted a Department of Public Works truck admiring the work of our mosaic artists. It was a reminder of just how much planning and work goes in to making community projects like this happen, and how no one entity can do it all...

🎯2024- Tourism funding is secured by the Pulaski Area Chamber of Commerce.

🎯2025- Planning begins with Kim of WitsEnd Mosaic & Smalti.com for a mosaic seating project in Shippy Park. Village of Pulaski Public Works is brought in to the conversation to address installation and longterm maintenance.

🎯Early 2026- Project is brought before the Village of Pulaski Parks and Recreation Commission. Public Works, Kim Wozniak, Parks & Rec, and the Chamber continue to meet and discuss designs and costs. Brown County disperses funds to the Pulaski Area Chamber of Commerce for the project. Additional projects like the floral containers by The Polish Poppy and opportunities for benches in several areas is also proposed to Parks & Rec.

🎯May 2026- Project is finalized. Concrete is poured for seating foundations in Shippy Park by Public Works. International artists purchase plane tickets to visit Pulaski! Pulaski Area Chamber of Commerce purchases concrete seating from Wausau Tile for the mosaic's to be adhered to.

🎯July 2026-Work begins! Artists spend 12-14 hour days working on intricate mosaics. Public Works is responsible for transportation and final installation of 4 350 lb concrete seats and 2 1100 lb concrete seats.

🎯First week of August 2026- Sets of mosaic seating will be installed at Pulaski's Shippy Park with an unveiling ceremony for the community.

This Feel Good Friday is a SHOUTOUT to every individual and entity who has assisted with this project.

Are you interested in learning how important civic health is for a rural community? For the month of August, the Pulaski Area Chamber of Commerce will be participating in the "Wisconsin Civic Health Challenge" through the University of Wisconsin as part of Civic Health Month. You can learn more about it and sign up yourself through the link in the comments.

Interested in learning more and sharing your feedback about our village parks? The Pulaski Parks and Rec Commission is hosting a workshop in Wednesday, August 19th from 6-8pm inside the KC Building at Pulaski Community Park. We'll post a photo of the flyer in the comments as well.

Projects like these don't come easy, but they're so rewarding when we get to work together.

It's LOCAL ARTIST DAY and the perfect time to stop into the KC Building at Pulaski Community Park to assist Kim Wozniak and her team currently working on the mosaic seating for Shippy Park! Stop by anytime between 1p-5p to contribute towards public art that will be a part of Pulaski for years to come. (It's also a great time to see the work before it's unveiled...😉).

At 6pm, you'll get the opportunity to hear directly from the artists some of the work they've completed around the world and just how cool it is that Pulaski is going to be home to one of their projects. PLEASE NOTE: This event was previously scheduled to be held inside the conference room at Premier Community Bank. Because the artists want you to see their current work as well as the amazing projects they've completed, the Artist Talk is now being held inside the KC Building at Pulaski Community Park as well.

We hope to see you today! This is your chance to be part of something wonderful for Pulaski!
