As we observe Armed Forces Day and Memorial Day reflecting on the sacrifices of so many, we are proud to support the launch of Tennessee Veterans Connect. This is a new statewide platform designed to better support veterans, servicemembers, and military families across all 95 Tennessee counties. 🇺🇸

This new resource hub will help connect Tennessee’s military community with important services, programs, and support across the state. We encourage our community to help spread awareness of this valuable resource for those who have served and their families.

Do you already have an apprenticeship program in place but it’s not yet state recognized? Our team can help guide you through the process of becoming vetted and officially recognized by the state.

Once approved, your program may become eligible for funding support, meaning you could receive funding for the training you are already providing.

State recognized apprenticeship programs can also work alongside pre-apprenticeship programs to help strengthen your future workforce pipeline.

This program helps employers:
✔️ Combine paid work with classroom instruction
✔️ Build long-term workforce talent
✔️ Customize training to fit industry needs

Funding Opportunity Now Open for Tennessee Small Businesses!

Small businesses across Tennessee have a new opportunity to access funding through the 1st & Goal Small Business Assistance Grant, supported by the Tennessee Titans Foundation.This program is designed to help small businesses grow, improve operations, and invest in equipment or services that support long-term success.

Grant Details
• Award amounts range from $500 to $15,000
• Open to small businesses across all industries in Tennessee

Eligibility Requirements
• For-profit business registered and operating in Tennessee
• At least 3 years in operation
• Minimum of 1 full-time employee
• Annual revenue between $100,000 and $5 million
• In good standing with all state and local requirements

Important Dates
• Application deadline: May 24, 2026 at 5:00 PM CST
• Award notifications: June 22, 2026

We are so proud of our 5th graders across Giles County for all of their hard work, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit. From creating business plans and budgeting to marketing and operating their stands, these students truly brought their ideas to life and did an amazing job serving our community!
