And the tree lighting on the Courthouse lawn is at 8:00! Come join us for a great community event! And next week is the FREE Evergreen Expedition at the Ag Park where you can drive through all the lighted Christmas tree displays! Lots of give aways at both events. Come join us!

Christmas Music will be filling the air on Thursday!

Starting at 5pm we'll be getting everyone warmed up with some of your favorite classics before Solid Rock Baptist kicks off our live performances at 5:45 on the South Courthouse Steps! We'll have over 2 hours of performances from 7 groups/performers in total leading us into the pinnacle of the night; the tree lighting ceremony!

With food, shopping, kids activities, dancers, live performers, and so much more there will be a joyous abundance of fun and entertainment to go around! See you there Pulaski!

Giles County is accepting applications for an opening in our Custodial Staff. Applicant must be self motivated, detail oriented and dependable. A drug test and background check are required.

An application can be received from the County Executive’s Office by calling 931-363-5300, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. All applications must be submitted to the County Executive's Office by Friday, November 5, 2021 by 4:00 p.m.

TENNESSSEE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH OFFERING BOOSTER DOSE OF PFIZER COVID-19 VACCINE
CDC Approved Booster Dose Recommendations for Certain Populations
NASHVILLE, Tenn. - The Tennessee Department of Health will begin offering booster doses of COVID vaccine to certain populations, beginning Friday, September 24.
A single dose booster of the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine can be administered for individuals who met these criteria:
• People 65 years and older and residents in long-term care settings should receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series,
• People aged 50–64 years with underlying medical conditions should receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series,
• People aged 18–49 years with underlying medical conditions may receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series, based on their individual benefits and risks, and
• People aged 18-64 years who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional setting may receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least 6 months after their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series, based on their individual benefits and risks.
More information on the CDC’s recommendation for a booster dose is available online.
Local health departments across the state will be administering the booster dose. Information on appointment availability can be found at https://covid19.tn.gov/covid-19-vaccines/availability/. Appointments are not required. The Federal Pharmacy Partnership (FPP) for Long-Term Care (LTC) Program is facilitating on-site vaccination for residents in long-term care facilities. Additional vaccine providers offering the Pfizer vaccine can be found by visiting http://www.vaccines.gov. Patients do not need to prove their diagnosis or health condition to be eligible for the booster dose.
