The Kekaulike High School Foundation is offering grants of $250 to support projects that enhance student learning, the learning environment, and student engagement. Some projects may be awarded additional funding.

🎓 Congratulations to the recipients of the 2026 King Kekaulike High School 30th Anniversary Celebration Scholarships: Lauren Ghotane, Mia Aoyagi, and EJ Savella! 🌺
Created through the generosity of donors who supported King Kekaulike High School's 30th Anniversary Celebration, these special scholarships honor three decades of academic excellence, leadership, and Na Aliʻi pride by investing in the next generation of changemakers.

✨ EJ Savella will attend Oregon State University, majoring in Biology. A student leader and scholar, EJ served as Class Treasurer, represented Maui and Hawaiʻi on the State Student Council, competed in paddling and varsity boys volleyball, and was active in AVID, Key Club, and National Honor Society.

✨ Mia Aoyagi will attend Boston University, majoring in Elementary Education. Mia demonstrated a passion for leadership and service as ASKK Executive Secretary, HOSA founder and co-president, Key Club and National Honor Society member, Junior YBA officer, and assistant teacher at Kumon.

✨ Lauren Ghotane will attend Eastern Michigan University, majoring in Social Work. As ASKK President and Best Buddies President, Lauren led with compassion while participating in varsity cheer, varsity tennis, HOSA, Debate Club, and Environmental Club.

Congratulations to Lauren, Mia, and EJ! Your leadership, service, and commitment to excellence embody the spirit of King Kekaulike High School. We wish you every success as you begin this exciting new chapter. 💙💛

🎓 Congratulations to Kody Manegdeg, recipient of the 2026 Pukalani Elementary School 50th Anniversary Scholarship! 🌺

In celebration of Pukalani Elementary School's 50th Anniversary, this special scholarship recognizes Pukalani Elementary School’s long-standing commitment to inspiring students to become respectful, responsible, lifelong learners. Sponsored by Pukalani Superette, the scholarship honors the strong partnership between two organizations that have proudly supported the Upcountry Maui community for generations.

Kody will attend the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo, majoring in Environmental Science. A dedicated student leader, Kody served as ASKK Vice President and Class Secretary, while actively participating in the National Honor Society, Key Club, STEM Club, the King Kekaulike paddling team, Judo Club, and the Hawaiian Canoe Club.

🎓 Congratulations to Lydia Jackson, the inaugural recipient of the 2026 Kaleiʻs Lunchbox Scholarship! 🌺
The King Kekaulike High School Foundation is proud to celebrate the first year of the Kaleiʻs Lunchbox Scholarship. As a locally owned Maui business deeply rooted in the community, Kalei's Lunchbox is committed to giving back by investing in the education and future success of Maui's students.

Lydia will attend Grand Canyon University, where she will major in Business Administration. Graduating with a 4.0 GPA, she distinguished herself as a member of the National Honor Society, Drama Club, and the King Kekaulike High School Flag Football Team. Lydia also gained valuable career experience through internships with STEMWorks in both curriculum development and marketing.

Congratulations, Lydia, on this well-deserved honor! We wish you every success as you begin this exciting new chapter. 💙💛

🎓 Congratulations to the 2026 Debbie Hisashima Memorial Scholarship recipients: Roxanne Boucher-Murray, Cade Yamada, and Tao Okabe! 🌺
The King Kekaulike High School Foundation is especially honored to award the 2026 Debbie Hisashima Memorial Scholarship to three outstanding STEM students. A beloved teacher who inspired both her students and fellow educators to always do their very best, Debbie's legacy continues through the generosity of the Hisashima family, Pukalani Elementary School, and community philanthropists.

✨ Roxanne Boucher-Murray will attend Swarthmore College, majoring in Biology. An exceptional student leader, she served in leadership roles with Key Club, National Honor Society, STEM Club, and Book Club while also participating in Mock Trial, Best Buddies, and Debate Club.

✨ Cade Yamada will attend Willamette University, majoring in Kinesiology. A two-year varsity baseball captain, National Honor Society member, Hui Hoʻopulapula Club member, and dedicated community volunteer, Cade has demonstrated leadership both on and off campus.

✨ Tao Okabe will attend the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, majoring in Biology. Graduating with a 4.23 GPA, Tao excelled as a student leader, STEM Club historian, varsity paddler, Key Club member, and Upcountry Student of the Month.

Established by the family of Sue and Aki Nakashima of Pukalani Superette , this scholarship honors their belief that education creates opportunities for a better life. It celebrates their lifetime of hard work and sacrifice by supporting King Kekaulike High School graduates as they pursue higher education.

✨ Vivian Sundberg will attend Oregon State University, majoring in BioHealth Science. An AVID and HOSA member, Anatomy Team leader, Kumon assistant, and state competitor in both Forensics and Anatomy, Vivian has demonstrated dedication to academic excellence and service.

✨ Roxanne Boucher-Murray will attend Swarthmore College, majoring in Biology. This scholarship is sponsored by the founding principal of King Kekaulike High School, whose vision, leadership, and commitment to excellence helped establish the traditions, Na Aliʻi pride, and strong academic foundation that continue to shape the school today.
Tao exemplifies that legacy. Graduating with an outstanding 4.23 GPA, Tao will attend the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa to major in Biology. A two-year Class VP, STEM Club Historian, four-year Key Club member, four-year varsity paddler, Hawaiian Canoe Club athlete since 2018, and Upcountry Student of the Month, Tao has demonstrated exceptional leadership, scholarship, and service.
