On Tuesday, we had the pleasure of hosting staff and students from the Colorado Springs Deaf and Blind School. We had great weather out on Lake Pueblo! For most of the individuals, this was their first time on the water and first time catching fish. Overall, a great day was had by all! Thank you Dan, Cheryl, Byron, and Laura, our volunteers who helped make this outing possible! And a huge thank you to Disabling Barriers for generously sponsoring our organization to help us take disabled individuals out fishing throughout the year. We had the pleasure of getting to attend the 39th annual fishing event in Wisconsin at Lake Chippewa! It was great seeing how the Hayward chapter puts together their event after all these years. The lake itself was pretty large and had great views! All of the participants had a blast out there and brought in a decent amount of fish! And they ended the day with a fish fry for everyone which was so fun to be a part of! It was also great getting to connect with volunteers and board members who have been involved with the event since the beginning!
