Tonight our Trail Life boys put “walk worthy” into action. 🎁💚

Our troop gathered at the Pueblo West Walmart to shop for toys that will be donated to children in need this Christmas. It was such a blessing to watch these young men think about others first, choose gifts with care, and experience the joy of giving together.

Thank you to all our leaders, parents, and Trailmen who came out tonight and helped make this happen — and to Walmart staff for being so kind and patient while a troop full of boys filled carts with Christmas blessings!

> “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” – Acts 20:35

Praying that each toy is a reminder of God’s love to the families who receive them this season. 🎄✨

Troop 1912 Takes on Monument Lake!

Our recent campout at Monument Lake Resort in beautiful western Colorado was one for the books! The boys of Troop 1912 had an amazing time diving into outdoor adventures and growing in both skill and spirit.

We fished from canoes and kayaks, learning patience and teamwork on the water.
Knot-tying lessons helped sharpen practical outdoor skills.

On one hike, we explored survival skills—how to find shelter, navigate to safety, and recognize signs of civilization.

Another trek focused on the flora and fauna of the region, including a lesson on safe foraging and plant identification.

Campfire cooking brought everyone together—boys helped prepare meals, clean up, and even led some of the cooking!

We had daily devotionals and prayer, centering our time around Christ and growing in faith.

From setup to teardown, every Trailman had a part, and we witnessed real growth in maturity, attitude, and leadership.

This campout wasn’t just a trip—it was a journey of growth, responsibility, and brotherhood. Watching our boys step up, serve one another, and grow in Christ-centered character was the highlight of the weekend.

We’re proud of each of them. Until the next adventure—Walk Worthy!

Troop 1912 Camping Adventure Recap!
We just wrapped up an incredible 3-day campout at Happy’s Trails Ranch in beautiful Rosita, Colorado—and what a time we had!

From the moment we raised the flag each morning to our evening retirements on our portable flagpole, every day was packed with adventure, learning, and brotherhood.

The boys honed their fire-starting skills and cooked hearty meals outdoors—campfire style!
🏹 We practiced archery and held airsoft battles that kept everyone on their toes.

We focused on firearm safety and had a blast shooting .22s, clay pigeons, and even aiming at a 1,000-yard target—every one of our older boys hit it!

We took in God’s creation through hikes around the ranch and bonded over stories and laughs by the fire.

More than just a fun time, this trip was a huge success in growing skills, character, and friendships. Our Trailmen came home tired, a little dirty, and totally energized by what they learned and accomplished. We can’t wait to head back up again soon!

Thanks to all the leaders, parents, and especially the boys who made it an unforgettable weekend!

Hit the Trail – Mueller’s Automotive Edition!

Today, our Trailmen got their hands dirty—and their hearts stirred—at our “Hit the Trail” event hosted by Mueller’s Automotive! These young men-in-the-making learned real-world, practical skills like how to change the oil, replace brakes (we worked on a 2008 Toyota 4Runner!), and handle emergency roadside situations like changing a flat tire—all while emphasizing safety and teamwork.

But more than just learning how to turn a wrench, this was about something deeper: raising up boys into courageous young men, who will one day be husbands and fathers. At Trail Life Troop CO-1912, we believe in teaching practical life skills while building character, confidence, and a Christ-centered foundation.

Want to give your son a place to grow strong in spirit, skill, and service? Come see what we’re all about!

I'm urging all my friends to vote NO on proposition 127. This proposition is extremely misleading and disingenuous. Not only is trophy hunting of mountain lions in the state of Colorado already illegal, but it also calls for a ban on hunting lynx which is also already illegal. What this does is bans the hunting of lions and bobcats all together for hunters in the state. What they don't tell you is that cat populations will still need to be managed and will be done by CPW officials or private contractors. THESE ANIMALS HAVE NO NATURAL PREDATORS BESIDES HUMANS! If they are not hunted they will overpopulate, and in turn, decimate deer, elk, and turkey populations (not to mention cats and dogs).
Please message me with any questions and I will do my best to help you better understand the true intentions and unintended consequences of this Proposition.
