This is welcome news for Pueblo County and an important milestone in our recovery from the Aspen Acres Fire.

President Trump has approved FEMA Public Assistance for communities impacted by this devastating fire. We are waiting on the details of the approval, but this is encouraging news for Pueblo County and our residents. The assistance can help support critical recovery work, including debris removal, emergency response, damaged roads, water systems, utilities and other essential public infrastructure.

We are grateful to everyone who sent letters, made calls and advocated for our community. Your voices mattered.

As the Pueblo County Board of County Commissioners, we will continue working with our state and federal partners to make sure Pueblo County receives every available resource to support our recovery.

But our work is not finished. Families lost homes, property and livelihoods, and additional assistance remains under review.

Our recovery continues, and Pueblo County will continue standing together.

🚨 Wildfire Donation & Distribution Center Update🚨

As our community moves further into long-term recovery, United Way of Southern Colorado is no longer accepting supply donations from the general public at the Wildfire Donation and Distribution Center.

The center will remain open on a limited schedule for impacted individuals and families:
Tuesday, Sept. 8 & Wednesday, Sept. 9: 10 AM–2 PM
Tuesdays only for the remainder of September: 10 AM–2 PM
📍 2670 Delphinium St., Pueblo

At this stage of recovery, the greatest need is financial support. Monetary donations give families the flexibility to address housing, rebuilding, transportation, replacement costs, and other recovery expenses as needs continue to evolve.
