September 5th, from noon to 2pm, we are having our end of summer BBQ! It's gonna be the best and biggest yet! Free and open to the public.

Next Friday, September 5th, a very important event is taking place. The Su***de Remembrance Walk at Lake Minnequa is an annual event to honor those who lost their lives to su***de, their families and loved ones. It is also a time to reflect, get resources and take part in our community so that these things arent hidden away.

Pueblo county loses an average of 38 lives a year to su***de with increases in recent years.

If you or someone you know is having thoughts of su***de, you are not alone. Please reach out to the national su***de hotline by dialing 988 from any phone or mobile device. And if you have lost someone you love to su***de, join us September 5th. See you there.

Also note, Feedback and Problem Solving has moved to Thursdays at 3.

In September, we're looking at adding a couple more groups as well! Yoga and a Circle of Fathers coming soon. :)

Application window opens in 10 days!

Please see the notice below as it relates to the opening of our Public Housing Wait List, 2, 3 & 4 Bedrooms.
Applications will be available for pickup starting on Monday - August 3, 2026.
You may submit your application when the wait list opens on August 17, 2026, at 8:00 am, and the wait list closes when the maximum number of applications are received according to bedroom size.
See below for income qualifications.

Children's glasses found
One of our participants found a pair of glasses at Mineral Palace park. Parks and Rec could not take them but we are keeping them safe at Friendly Harbor! If you could share, maybe we can save mom or dad a few bucks by not having to replace them.

August Calendar adds a group on ending co-dependent behaviors for building healthier relationships on Mondays and moves Feedback and Problem solving to Thursdays. You can join any of our groups at no-cost, lead by Peer Support Specialists with lived experience with mental health and substance use conditions in recovery. Together, we can build skills to live better lives.

This Saturday!!!! We're grilling burgers and sausages and gathering together for an afternoon of community and fun. If you would like to join us, all are welcome. We plan for ~100 plates so come get yours before they run out! :)

It is disability pride month! Each July, we take time to recognize the hard fought victories of rights won by the disabled, disability advocates and their families. Join us for some safe summer fun tomorrow afternoon! We will be having a pizza party in lieu of grilling due to the red flag conditions. Please, every one, the community needs your support of the fire restrictions to be safe out there and have a happy 4th of July!

If you missed our last BBQ, no worries! We're getting together again the 4th of July. We served around 60 folks last Saturday and with a holiday weekend, we're never sure how many will show.
