Dear Brothers and Sisters of Branch 229,
As the holiday season approaches, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for your continued dedication and commitment to our union. This year has been filled with both challenges and victories, and it’s because of the hard work and solidarity of each of you that we’ve been able to make a difference for our members and our communities.
The holiday season is a time to reflect, celebrate, and recharge. I encourage each of you to take time to enjoy these special moments with family and friends, knowing that your efforts throughout the year are truly appreciated.
Looking ahead to 2025, we are excited to announce the swearing-in of our new officers, which will take place on January 8, 2025. This marks an important moment for our union as we continue to strengthen our leadership and prepare for the challenges and opportunities in the coming year. Please mark your calendars and join us in welcoming our new leadership team.
Tentative Agreement Ballots will be mailed out to all Union Members, and must be mailed back no later than January 13th, 2025. Your Vote is very important to our Union. Educate yourself about the agreement and make the right decisions.
In addition, we have several important events coming up that I want to bring to your attention:
• Steward Training – Date and Time still to be Determined January, 2025 at 1240 Lake Ave
• Stewards College – February, 2025 in Denver, Colorado
• State Convention – April 15-17 at Ft. Collins, Colorado
We encourage all members to attend and participate, as these events provide an excellent opportunity to strengthen our union and connect with one another.
Thank you once again for all that you do. Together, we continue to build a stronger, more united union. I wish you and your loved ones a joyous and peaceful holiday season, and I look forward to seeing you in the new year.
