Community Support in Action

Pueblo County Government is grateful to share that the Aspen Acres Fire Fund of Grandview Baptist Church has generously donated enough to cover the cost of more than 100 demolition permits for homeowners affected by the Aspen Acres Fire, in partnership with the Pueblo County Building Department.

During this difficult recovery, practical support like this makes a real difference for families who are already carrying so much.

Thank you to Grandview Baptist Church and everyone who has contributed to the Aspen Acres Fire Fund for stepping up and supporting our community when it matters most.

The devastation caused by the Aspen Acres Fire is heartbreaking. More than 100,000 acres have burned, and over 300 homes have been destroyed. Tragically, approximately 70% of the affected homeowners did not have insurance.
Through our partnership with Disaster Relief, we are helping families begin the long road to recovery. Before the ash and debris can be removed, many families must first pay for required dumpster and permit fees—expenses they simply cannot afford after losing everything.
This is where you can make a difference.

Aspen Acres Fire Relief Ash Out Training

Disaster Relief will be deploying teams to help those who have been affected by the Aspen Acres Fire as they are allowed back in. We are looking for volunteers to help in any capacity. To be ready to volunteer, you will need to fill out the registration form as soon as possible and attend one of the trainings.

Tuesday 14 at 10:00-1:00—Aberdeen Baptist Church (301 Cleveland St-81004)

Wednesday 15 at 6:00-9:00—The Avenue Church (3030 Thatcher Ave-81005)
