What a great day at Safety Jam! ๐Ÿš“๐Ÿš’๐Ÿš‘

The Pueblo Crime Stoppers Board had an amazing time connecting with families, meeting so many wonderful members of our community, and helping promote safety awareness for children.

Events like Safety Jam are a great reminder of how strong and supportive the Pueblo community truly is. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, learn more about Crime Stoppers, and spend the day with us.

We always enjoy being part of events that bring our community together, and we look forward to seeing everyone again next year!

Congratulations to our 2026 Pueblo Crime Stoppers Scholarship recipient, Gabrielle Travierso.

Our recipient, Gabrielle Travierso, is a senior at Pueblo County High School and has achieved an incredible 4.57 GPA โ€” a reflection not only of her intelligence, but also of her discipline, determination, and work ethic.

Gabrielle is the daughter of Kayleigh Travierso and James Travierso, and it is clear that the support and encouragement from her family have helped shape the remarkable young woman she is today.

Beyond academics, Gabrielle has made a tremendous impact through music and leadership. As Section Leader in the band, she has demonstrated both talent and mentorship among her peers. Her dedication to her craft has earned her six Outstanding Soloist Awards for drumming in jazz band โ€” an extraordinary accomplishment. She was also selected for the 2026 Colorado All-State Symphonic Band, an honor that recognizes the very best student musicians in the state.

But what makes Gabrielle especially inspiring is her heart for service and her vision for the future. Through her volunteer work with Toys Against Tears, she has already shown a commitment to helping children and supporting her community.

This fall, Gabrielle plans to attend Colorado College, where she will major in Political Science with the goal of pursuing a career in law. Her dream is to advocate for womenโ€™s rights and childrenโ€™s safety โ€” and I think we can all agree the future is brighter with leaders like Gabrielle working to make a difference.

Gabrielle, your hard work, compassion, leadership, and ambition have not gone unnoticed. We are incredibly proud of all that you have accomplished, and we are excited to see all that you will achieve in the years ahead.

Now, applicants must be at least 21 with no height/weight requirements. They must pass a Physical Ability Test, Written Test, Polygraph Exam, and Psychological Exam.

The starting salary is now $6,602.30, with annual increases for up to eight years! Benefits include health, dental, vision insurance, retirement plans, sick time (up to 1600 hours), and vacation (up to 560 hours).

While times have changed in 73 years, our core values of Character, Excellence, Integrity, and Service remain steadfast.
