Important Fire Links:

Even if many of us weren’t directly impacted by the fires, most certainly know someone who has been. I wanted to include the links below so that you or someone you know who may need them could get some answers on moving forward into recovery. It will be a long road but we’re all here for it.

CSU’s publications covering many topics including assessing your homesite, the use of wells and septic systems after a fire, returning to your home kitchen afterward, etc. are housed at this website: https://extension.colostate.edu/topics/emergency-disaster-recovery/. Please go there and scroll down to see the selection.

Colorado State Forest Service: Restoration and Rehabilitation: Please scroll towards the bottom and review the links there for a good handful of helpful publications as well including the topics of soil erosion, trees post-wildfire, vegetative recovery, etc.: https://csfs.colostate.edu/forest-management/restoration-rehabilitation/?_gl=1*ccffrx*_ga*MTAzNzQyNTc1Mi4xNzE0MDU1Mjgw*_ga_2HV0QS6SKP*czE3ODQ2NDgyNTAkbzczJGcxJHQxNzg0NjQ4MzU5JGo2MCRsMCRoMA

Post-Wildfire FAQs (Boulder) a helpful resource created after the Marshall Fire in 2021: https://boulder.extension.colostate.edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/7/2024/08/post-fire-rehab-faq-august-2024.pdf
