📻 Interested in Amateur Radio? Now's Your Chance to Get Licensed!

The Pueblo Amateur Radio Club (PARC) is excited to announce our upcoming Amateur Radio Technician Licensing Classes!

Whether you're interested in emergency communications, learning about radio technology, connecting with people around the world, or simply exploring a new hobby, amateur radio has something for everyone!

No previous radio experience is necessary. Our experienced amateur radio operators will help introduce you to the hobby and prepare you for your Technician license exam.

📅 Training Schedule:

- Thursday, October 15 | 6:00–8:00 PM
- Thursday, October 22 | 6:00–8:00 PM
- Thursday, October 29 | 6:00–8:00 PM

📝 License Testing:
Thursday, November 5, 2026

Game Room – 2nd Floor

Room may change to the Penthouse depending on participation.

📻 PARC at the 2nd Annual PSAS Family Fall Fest! 🎃🍂

What a wonderful evening of community outreach!

The Pueblo Amateur Radio Club (PARC) would like to extend a huge thank you to Pueblo School for Arts and Sciences (PSAS) for inviting us to participate in their 2nd Annual Family Fall Fest at the Jones Campus!

We were excited to have the opportunity to introduce amateur radio to students, parents, families, and members of our Pueblo community.

Throughout the evening, we had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people, answering questions, passing out information, and providing live amateur radio demonstrations. We were especially excited by the interest shown by those who stopped by our booth to learn more about the hobby and what PARC has to offer!

📡 A special thank you to our fellow amateur radio operators!

We want to recognize and thank our PARC members who came out to help represent the club in person, as well as everyone who took the time to join us over the 145.115 MHz repeater throughout the evening.

Your participation helped us demonstrate amateur radio in action and gave visitors the opportunity to experience firsthand how radio operators communicate across our community.

Events like this remind us why community involvement is so important. Amateur radio is about much more than just talking on a radio. It's about education, friendship, public service, emergency preparedness, and bringing people together through a shared interest in communications.

We also want to thank the event organizers, volunteers, and fellow community organizations who helped make this evening possible.

To everyone who stopped by our booth, thank you! Whether you were simply curious, asked a few questions, or expressed an interest in becoming involved, we truly enjoyed meeting you.

We look forward to continuing to grow our presence in the Pueblo community and hope to participate in many more events like this in the future!

Hello PARC Members,

We’re out here at the Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum today celebrating an incredible milestone — 100 years of radio’s role in aviation!

It’s a fitting place to recognize just how closely the histories of radio and aviation have been connected. Radio communications helped transform aviation by giving pilots a way to communicate beyond visual signals and eventually became an essential part of navigation, air traffic coordination, weather information, and aviation safety.

PARC is set up and on display!

We’ve put together an amateur radio demonstration featuring several different pieces of equipment and technology for visitors to see, including:

- 📻 A variety of handheld amateur radios, showing how portable radio equipment has evolved and the different ways it can be used.

- 📡 Examples of modern radio communications alongside the museum's collection of historic communications and aviation equipment.

- 🛰️ Information about repeaters, emergency communications, public service, and the many different sides of amateur radio.

- 📚 Information for anyone interested in getting their amateur radio license and becoming involved in the hobby.

- 🟢 PARC information and club materials so visitors can learn more about what we do here in Pueblo and Southern Colorado.

It makes for a pretty neat demonstration when you can stand surrounded by historic aviation and communications equipment while showing people what amateur radio looks like today.

Amateur radio is more than talking on a radio. It brings together communications, electronics, antennas, computers, digital technology, experimentation, emergency preparedness, public service, and education. Today gives us an opportunity to share all of that with people who may have never experienced amateur radio before.

If you're in the area, come down to the Pueblo Weisbrod Aircraft Museum, stop by our display, say hello, and help us support and promote amateur radio!

Having our members stop by also gives visitors an opportunity to meet actual amateur radio operators, ask questions, hear different experiences, and see the community behind the hobby.

Every person who comes out helps us promote amateur radio, PARC, and the important role radio communications continue to play more than a century later.

We’d love to see some of our PARC members come out and join us!

What a day! 🎉

Huge thanks to everyone who came out to support the Pueblo Amateur Radio Club at the 2025 AMR Safety Jam! We had an amazing turnout, and our booth was buzzing with activity all day.

Our emergency communications trailer was a big hit, drawing in folks of all ages interested in how HAM radio plays a role in emergency response and public safety. We gave away weather radios and PARC stickers, and had some great conversations with people curious about getting on the air.

We're especially grateful for all the help and support from our club members — from setup to teardown, promo gear to power support — it truly was a team effort. The interest we saw from the public was inspiring, and it’s clear that amateur radio still has a powerful role in our community.

🎉 Gearing up and getting everything ready for the 2025 AMR Safety Jam today at Lake Minnequa Veterans Memorial Park!

The Pueblo Amateur Radio Club is setting up at Booth #39. We’ve got our Emergency Communications Trailer on site and we’re looking forward to showing the community how radio plays a critical role in emergency response and preparedness.
