2026 NRWA In-service - No surprise. Colorado kept busy talking in the halls & at places outside the venue – learning & sharing – while, up front in classrooms, they were willing to share personal experiences and sage advice. CRWA rocks!!!

2026 In-Service Training - Without question, staff like Kewanna & Marc took away more than just learning from the experience and appreciated much of what Spokane has to offer. (Fortunately, no one wrecked on the scooters or bikes – man, they really ought to offer helmets.) Thank you, Spokane, and the host state of Washington. We at CRWA had a wonderful time & learned a bunch to take back to our folks.

📣 Colorado Operators - We Want YOUR Training Ideas!!!

At the Colorado Rural Water Association, our mission is to provide training that truly supports the operators who keep our communities running. To make sure we’re offering courses that are meaningful, relevant, and genuinely useful, we’re asking for your input.

💧 What training topics would help you most in the coming year? Instead of broad requests like “another water class,” we’d love to hear the specific skills, challenges, or subjects you want to dive deeper into — whether in water treatment, distribution, wastewater, collection, safety, regulations, or system operations.

Just drop your topic suggestions in the comments, and we’ll add them to our planning list. We’re committed to doing our best to bring your requested trainings to life.

Thank you for the work you do every day for Colorado’s communities. We look forward to hearing your ideas! 💙

💧Inspiring the Next Generation at the Trinidad Children’s Water Festival! 💧

On May 19, 2026, Greg Colter, Wastewater Technician Specialist with the Colorado Rural Water Association, helped students explore the importance of clean and safe water through hands-on learning and interactive demonstrations.

Students discovered how coagulation and flocculation work to remove impurities from water and saw firsthand how operators protect public health every day. Greg also shared an engaging lesson on E. coli, helping students understand why proper sanitation and wastewater treatment are so critical to our communities.

It was a fun and educational day, and CRWA is proud to help inspire the future of water stewardship! 💙

In the water and wastewater profession, we are expected not only to respond to emergencies, but to consistently prioritize prevention over reaction. Circuit Rider Chuck Goin exemplifies this philosophy through mindful planning and proactive decision-making. His recent trailer purchase reflects this commitment—an intentional investment designed to prevent future challenges rather than react to them after the fact.

And there ain't no denying that she's a beauty!!! Good on you, Chuck.
