We Are a Non-profit Organization Created To Serve The Prue Community And Rely On The Community & Friends Of Rescued Animals For Support.

Prue Humane Society is located in Prue Ok. But we know no boundry when the phone rings & a dog is in need! In 7 years us two ladies have managed to change over 550 lives, finding homes along w getting involved in residents puppy litters & transporting them & any other dog that a resident or anyone else that contacts us, will let us take to Spay ok for spay or neuter, which is always our end goal.

We struggle w enough donations & this 2016 is our year w help of the gofundme to build an affordable, better place for the dogs. We have no luxury of fosters where dogs can b inside & learn to b better pets before adoption. We spend winters dealing w cold, breaking ice & Summer's dealing w heat, inadequate, tore up pens, dogs trying to dig out. We always hope their stay w us is short but w our big hearts their stay has to b the best it can b. Scroll thru our albums, read all the sad & success stories. All Rescue friends @ others that have been there for PHS, this is way past due, I want to post an article published in the paper! It explains better, but spiraling into July 2017 I realized I was headed for a breakdown I will never ever regret my yrs in Rescue but I had to save me! Tore my heart out to quit! Theresa so didn’t want to but also needed to! We gave our all! But I felt I gave up on the dogs! Almost a yr later! W help of cymbalta I am coping w it! And most of all w help from the lord because he knows my heart & wont let me get down on myself! All Rescue stuff we accumulated will go on to help others! Thank u god for letting Theresa & I save so many lives & most of all for Saving Us! ♥️🐾 I am leaving PHS FB page for now til
I can accumulate earlier pics I had lost! This is Ghost & I! All our dogs truly knew love! Much love to all & gods blessings!

This Prue litter grew up right b4 my eyes. I remember the day I picked them up. Just so tiny! Look at little Bear in the lower right. They were just fuzz balls. I was thrilled when they went to a larger rescue! Foster home! Then on to their forever homes.. Such a precious precious litter. Mom still has to get in to b spayed. Eleanor & her pups just broke our hearts, dumped! Afraid! Malnourished! but they looked so good & new love when it was time to leave Theresa's bound for a foster home w a larger rescue & fantastic forever homes. Such an awesome little family! Happy trails!!! ***Debi***

Krista, Gerri & Barbara for ur donations to help this girl! Sporting her new pink collar Momma Theresa got her! She is sunbathing today! But periodically goes to her bed & rests so she knows she has a place to have the. Babies

Just loved this litter. Mom has a spay appt. & she will stay w owners. & these babies went to a larger rescue to a foster home & soon will b adopted & in their forever homes. ❤️

Pepper got her forever home today yay!! 😊❤️. Only one regret. U hear & deal w so much in rescue it's best always to keep ur mouth shut! Bite ur tongue, I always do!Owner talked w adopter, then had plans to meet!Sunday in OKC! I called as usual for the appl. Nathan we had both talked w was 15 yrs old. Very nice boy but we needed to talk w parents etc. meanwhile I txtd owner & she just came back w so much negativity along w the part of our policy, that we will take dogs back! She said nope once he has her my part is done! The boy sent pics of back yard! House! & I did talk w dad! Nathan has a sister 13 that has her own dog & he was so excited! Pepper is going to b his dog! Well yep! I said to owner ( u r so negative). Insert foot Debi! !!! Crap! Although I did apologize. She decided we needed to part ways! Since I was so rude!! 😪 it's always about the dogs not the people! But I blew this one! I had asked her to get an adoption fee because 3 more siblings needed fixed and Rehomed! I won't get it completely out of my head! It will b in back somewhere! I txtd Nathan! They did. Meet & he loves Pepper! So happy we were able to help Woody & Pepper! I'm so sorry Tigress, Bella & Buddy! I screwed up! I was going to start posting Buddy! The adoption fee would have helped continue to get them fixed! I hope Amberlee has a change of heart! But I doubt! Just another reason my sat sucked! Debi

Woody left Frontier Shores w Amberlee who took him in when his owners moved and left him behind. She met Sarah who transported this awesome boy to meet his new foster (Chrissy) he is in great hands now! Sure to get an awesome home w a great family! Thanks Red Dirt Boxer Rescue for accepting him. Happy trails big boy ❤️😊
