An incident in Utah this week has left many immigrant families feeling shaken. A father was taken into ICE custody during what should have been his final green-card interview—a step that was supposed to bring his family stability and legal status.

Stories like this remind us how stressful and uncertain the immigration process can feel, even for families doing everything the right way.

At our Immigration & Refugee Center, we stand with families who are working hard to build safe, stable lives here.

We will continue doing what we can to share helpful information, support one another, and build a stronger, more welcoming community.

If you or someone you know is preparing for immigration interviews or facing uncertainty, please reach out. You’re not alone — we are here to walk this journey together.

Moody’s economist warns that Trump’s mass deportation plans could push U.S. inflation to 4% by early 2026. A shrinking immigrant workforce may drive up prices for food, services, and more.

The White House says workforce training programs will help, but experts worry about labor shortages and rising costs.

The warning comes as inflation is already spiking. The Labor Department reported Thursday that the producer price index jumped 0.9% from June to July.

🌎🇺🇸 U.S. Immigration Could Go Negative in 2025—Here’s Why It Matters! 📉

📊 For the first time in over 60 years, the U.S. might experience net-negative immigration — meaning more people could leave than arrive.

💥 According to a new Barron’s article (backed by AEI & Brookings), this shift could:
✅ Shrink the workforce
✅ Slow down the economy
✅ Cut job growth — especially in caregiving, construction, and services

💬 Why should we care?
Many small businesses, families, and local economies rely on immigrants to keep thriving. Less immigration = fewer workers, lower innovation, and slower economic recovery.
