Thank you to everyone who joined us last Friday for our Summer Salon with Doron Langberg and Josephine Halvorson! These two remarkable painters engaged in a lively exchange of ideas centered on the firsthand experience of noticing, describing, and learning from the physical world. Our Summer Salons will take a short break in July, but we return in August with two final, unmissable events:

Friday, August 21: Join Pulitzer Prize winner Michael Cunningham in conversation with Mary DeAngelis and Marian Roth for an evening of imagination and inspiration.

Friday, August 28: We conclude the season with a conversation between influential curator Helen Molesworth and Lisa Yuskavage, two of the most original and influential voices of the past three decades.

Tickets for our August Salons are available at the link in our bio. We look forward to seeing you back at 24 Pearl Street!

We are thrilled to celebrate Visual Arts Fellow Firelei Báez (2013-2014) for her recent New York Times interview. The profile delves into how Báez harnesses "trickster energy" to rewild history, painting directly onto archival maps to unsettle linear narratives and reimagine the future. By remapping these stories, Báez invites us to understand history and humanity anew.

Be sure to visit her current solo exhibition at Hauser & Wirth in Chelsea through July 31 or catch her monumental mural opening at JFK Airport this October.
