This Indigenous Peoples’ Day, I honor the Indigenous people who gifted me the circle—a reminder that we are all connected to the Earth and the Sea.

Through Sea Blue Company, I carry this gift with gratitude, honoring the ocean’s wisdom, the blue that connects us all, and the reciprocity that calls us to give back to the waters that give us life.

One of the things I value most about my school work is continuity.
Following these students from seventh into eighth grade gives us the opportunity to build on the trust, relationships, student-created values and guidelines, and sense of safety we began developing together last year.
The goal isn’t simply to create a safe space for students. It is to create one with them.
Our first Growing Circle was October 1, so September was about preparing the space and getting ready to welcome their voices back into the circle. It went swell!

Belonging is more than simply being included. It’s feeling seen, heard, valued, and knowing that your voice matters.

At Sea Blue Company, restorative practices help create spaces where people can slow down, listen to one another, build trust, and strengthen connection.

Whether we’re working in a school, organization, or community, the goal is the same: to create spaces where people feel safe enough to show up as themselves and connected enough to grow together.

Because when people feel they belong, communities become stronger.

A little fresh veggies goes a long way.
As part of Sea Blue Company’s Living Swell Initiative, I’m grateful to volunteer as a wellness coach with Helping Our Women in Provincetown.
Today was a simple reminder that wellness can show up in many ways — through restorative connection,encouragement, and sometimes a basket of fresh vegetables.

Conflict is something so many faith communities deal with. It’s important to have the right tools so it can become an opportunity for connection, not disconnection.

Saturday learning with the Restorative Justice Institute ✨
Sea Blue Company had the opportunity to train in I-IMAGINE: A Restorative Framework for Transforming Conflict & Culture, created by Melody Stanford Martin and Michael Lockaby.
I feel so fortunate to be a community practitioner with the Restorative Justice Institute and to keep learning from such creative, innovative leaders in the restorative justice field.
Grateful to keep growing, learning, and bringing new ideas back into the communities I serve. 💙

From the Sea to the Woods!
Daisy and I are usually facilitating circles with a little salt air nearby, but this weekend Sea Blue Company headed into the woods for a Community Welcome Circle with Amazing Grace of Cape Cod!
Amazing Grace provides a weeklong summer camp experience for children who have been impacted by the incarceration of a parent or family member, giving young people a supportive place to connect, have fun, and simply be kids.
Surrounded by trees and plenty of camp energy, we used restorative practices to help campers and staff create shared values and agreements for a week grounded in belonging, respect, connection, and fun.
It was a beautiful reminder that whether we're by the sea or among the trees, circles create space for people to connect, be heard, and build community together. 🌊🌲
Grateful to Amazing Grace for having Sea Blue to be part of the beginning of such a meaningful week.

🍓 Sea Blue Company was so happy to attend the Summer of Sass Strawberry Social fundraiser!
Summer of Sass holds a special place in our hearts. Back in June, Daisy and I had the privilege of facilitating a Welcome Circle for the LGBTQ+ residents as they began their summer together in Provincetown.
It was wonderful to reconnect and celebrate an organization that creates community, belonging, and support for LGBTQ+ young people.
A beautiful summer evening for a beautiful cause. 💙🍓
