Please join us on Sunday, June 21 at 5:00 PM for a public reception with refreshments under the Gazebo at the end of MacMillan Wharf as we celebrate the opening of Provincetown Public Art Summer 2026 and honor the memory of artist, benefactor, and community leader Nancy Rahnasto Osborne.
Nancy was instrumental in the founding and early success of the Provincetown Public Art Foundation and made lasting contributions to the cultural life of the Outer Cape. In addition to her support of the PPAF during its formative years, she helped guide the Truro Center for the Arts through an important period of transition as President of its Board of Directors. Her generosity, insight, wit, and dedication enriched the lives of countless artists and friends throughout our community.
We lost Nancy this winter, and she is deeply missed. We are honored to share one of her final large-scale works, Lookout, which will be installed at the end of MacMillan Wharf as part of Provincetown Public Art Summer 2026. The sculpture stands as a lasting expression of her imagination, humor, and artistic vision.
The Provincetown Public Art Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to telling the story of Provincetown’s past, present, and future through public art. Through exhibitions, installations, and educational programs, we bring art into public spaces for the benefit of residents and visitors alike.
Your support makes this work possible. To learn more about becoming a supporter of public art in Provincetown, please visit provincetownpublicart.org.
