October is Liver Cancer Awareness Month 💚
This month the Partnership to Reduce Cancer in Rhode Island stands with individuals and families impacted by Liver Cancer. We recognize the importance of raising awareness, supporting those affected, and continuing to promote education and access to resources for all Rhode Islanders.

There are a number of Risk factors associated with Liver cancer. Some ways to help decrease your risk is maintaining a healthy weight, avoiding excessive amounts of alcohol, getting vaccinated for Hep B and getting tested for Hep C.

Today is World Hospice and Palliative Care Day!

Palliative care is available for anyone living with serious illness, including cancer patients. This service can help manage pain and symptoms from the time of diagnosis. Talk to your doctor or patients about the importance of palliative care.

If you or someone you know does not have health insurance you may be eligible for a free screening through WomenCare.
