Partnership to Reduce Cancer in Rhode Island We are a passionate group of survivors, caregivers, health care providers, and advocates who are working together to reduce the burden of cancer in RI.

The Partnership to Reduce Cancer in Rhode Island is a passionate group of survivors, caregivers, health care providers, and advocates who are working together to reduce the burden of cancer in Rhode Island. Specifically, the Partnership:

•Works to bridge the gaps in the cancer care system by forming partnerships and fostering collaboration

•Values strong leadership in engaging its many dedicate

d members in cooperative, mission driven work to improve cancer survivorship within our state

•Works to improve the quality of care and the possibility of earlier detection in order to assure survivors of better outcomes

To accomplish our goals, we work closely with hospital cancer centers, health care providers, cancer survivors and their loved ones, advocacy organizations, and the Rhode Island Department of Health. To join the Partnership, please follow this link:

📣 Registration Now Open: Project ECHO Series – Cancer Screenings and Navigation to Care

The Partnership to Reduce Cancer in Rhode Island is excited to announce that registration is now open for our second Project ECHO series!

Join us beginning June 16 at 12:00 PM EST for a free six-session training series titled "Cancer Screenings and Navigation to Care," designed for patient navigators, community health workers, and healthcare professionals interested in strengthening their understanding of how navigation improves cancer care and outcomes.

Sessions will cover the history and foundations of patient navigation, current screening guidelines for breast, cervical, colorectal, and prostate cancer, cancer-specific resources, navigation best practices, and emerging topics in cancer care.

✨ CME credits will be available, with more information to come.

Last week, PRCRI staff had the opportunity to travel to Denver, Colorado for the 2026 Scaling What Works Symposium! It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with partners from across the country and collaborate on strategies to improve cancer screening initiatives in Rhode Island. Join us for our second Project ECHO series: Cancer Screening and Navigation to Care.
