ATTICA THEN. PRISONS NOW. ✊🏾

More than 50 years after the 1971 Attica Uprising, many of the demands incarcerated people were fighting for—dignity, adequate medical care, accountability, due process, family connection, and humane conditions—remain part of the fight for prison reform today.

Join DARE for an Attica Uprising Memorial Workshop as we remember those who lost their lives, learn about the demands that sparked the uprising, and reflect on what Attica can teach us about the work that still needs to be done.

Together, we'll connect 1971 to today and discuss how we can continue fighting for dignity, accountability, and justice for incarcerated people.
