We’re proud to celebrate the completion of the Creative Entrepreneurship Program — an experience designed to empower young creatives with the tools, mindset, and confidence to turn their passions into purpose. From branding and storytelling to collaboration and leadership, our scholars showed up with vision and determination every week.

Special thank you to the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket for partnering with us to create a space where creativity, entrepreneurship, and youth development could thrive. Resumes were developed. Scholars identified their strengths taking the HSI strength survey.

Welcome Ashley to the Hope Scholars Initiative team!

We’re excited to introduce Ashley, our new Data & Research Intern from Brown University. Ashley will support HSI’s Case for Support through research, data analysis, and strategic development focused on youth wellness, literacy, workforce development, social emotional learning, and justice-involved youth outcomes.

Her work will help strengthen the data and storytelling behind HSI’s innovative and culturally responsive programming while aligning with statewide and national priorities around education and workforce development.

We’re looking forward to building together and continuing to create meaningful impact for young people across our communities.

Hope Scholars Initiative has officially surpassed our goal for this year’s campaign—our highest total to date in our third year participating.

This year brought our largest number of new donors, showing that our community is growing and our impact is reaching further than ever.

All funds will go toward expanding our Level Up Scholarship Fund, increasing access and opportunity for the scholars we serve.

Our programs are rooted in JOY MAKING within the learning experience. The Album Club is one of our core programs that threads music + literacy + social / emotional development in an authentic and humanized way. It’s amazing to see our scholars blossom in real time when feel a deep connection to the material. It’s not “meet them where they are” but more so affirm how they navigate life. The beauty of a creative learning space is there is great opportunity to humanize the experience. “Thank Me” is a vehicle to gratitude and self love. Many of our scholars have experiences that have strengthened and inspired them to get to this point. We asked them to consider themselves and look inward and celebrate the instincts and abilities and celebrate how far they’ve come.

Let’s take a moment and acknowledge the scholars at A-Venture Academy in PVD who are part of the first cohort who completed the ALBUM CLUB. 11 sessions with over 150 participant hours of creative learning. These scholars told their story and engaged in key SEL concepts such as growth mindset, gratitude, strengthened behavior skills, and self confidence. They did this successfully through lyric annotation, guided listening sessions (Gucci Mane, Nipsey Hussle, Cardi B, and Gunna) and creating writing and the guidance of our group mentoring.

Scholars designed their own album covers and created their soundtrack to their lives that spoke directly and honored their lived experiences. Special thank to our community partners at A-Venture Academy who provided strong support with facilitating their capstone projects.
