💙 Thank You, Knights of Columbus! 🌼
We are deeply grateful to the Pope Pius XII Council 5295, affiliated with St. Thomas More Church, for their generous support of the Mother of Life Center.
Over the weekend, the Knights held their “Mums for Moms” sale, and we are incredibly grateful that they chose to donate the proceeds to support our mission. Grand Knight John Patrick Walsh presented Mother of Life Center with a check for $3,670!
The Knights of Columbus have been steadfast champions of life, caring for abortion-vulnerable unborn children and pregnant mothers facing challenging circumstances. Through their generosity, they help pregnancy centers like ours provide the resources, encouragement, and support mothers need to choose life for their babies.
We are especially grateful for the Knights’ unwavering support over so many years. Your generosity makes a real difference in the lives of mothers and their children, and we are blessed to have you standing beside us in this mission.

What a beautiful and joyful day! ❤️ We were so blessed to attend the Baptism of another one of our precious clients’ twins at St. Augustine’s Church, celebrated by our beloved Chaplain, Fr. Christopher Mahar. ✝️
This beautiful mother chose life, and today we celebrate her precious twins as they become part of the family of God through the Sacrament of Baptism. What a blessing to witness these beautiful moments and to see God’s grace at work in the lives of these families.
Welcome to the family of God, sweet babies! May God bless you and your family always. 🙏🏻 Thank you, Jane Franklin, for providing our client’s twins with two beautifully handmade Baptismal gowns!❤️

✨ A Beautiful Gift of Love for Two Precious Babies ✨

There are so many beautiful ways that our volunteers at the Mother of Life Center pour their hearts into the lives of our clients—and one of the most extraordinary is the gift of a handmade baptismal gown. 🤍

Whenever one of our Mother of Life Center babies is baptized, our incredibly talented and generous volunteer, Jane Franklin, lovingly handmakes a beautiful baptismal gown especially for that precious child.

This weekend is especially joyful as twins from one of our client families will be baptized at St. Augustine’s Church. Each baby will be dressed in a gown lovingly created by Jane—a keepsake that represents so much more than beautiful craftsmanship. It is a tangible expression of love, prayer, and the community that surrounds these little ones from the very beginning of their lives. ✝️🤍
Jane’s talent is truly remarkable, but what makes her gift even more special is the love she stitches into every gown. Every detail is handmade with such care, knowing that these gowns will become part of a family’s most precious memories.

Jane, thank you for sharing your extraordinary talent and your beautiful heart with our Mother of Life Center families. What a blessing you are to us—and to every little baby whose life you celebrate with your hands and your heart. ❤️

🌹 A Heartfelt Thank You from Mother of Life Center 🌹

Thank you to the nearly 300 guests and beloved priests who braved the nor’easter and joined us for our Rose Gala on Sunday, September 27th! Your presence made the evening truly special, and we are so grateful that you chose to stand with us in this mission of life and love.

We are deeply grateful for the incredible generosity of our guests, sponsors, and supporters. Every pledge and gift will make a tremendous impact on the work of Mother of Life Center, allowing us to continue serving pregnant women and teens facing challenging circumstances by offering them the support, hope, and resources they need to choose life.

The evening was especially moving as we heard the powerful testimonies of two courageous women who chose life for their children. Hearing their stories firsthand was a beautiful reminder of why this mission matters so deeply—and of the lives that are transformed when a mother is met with love, compassion, and practical support.

We were also blessed to hear from Thomas Glessner, J.D., President and Founder of NIFLA, who provides legal counsel, education, and training to a nationwide network of more than 1,700 pregnancy centers and medical clinics throughout the United States.

And, of course, after such a meaningful evening, it was wonderful to see everyone relax, laugh, and enjoy themselves while being entertained by Marc Turo. The spirit of fellowship and joy in the room was a beautiful reminder of the lives, families, and hopes we are celebrating together.

To the nearly 300 guests who joined us, and to everyone who sponsored, donated, volunteered, prayed, or helped make the evening possible: THANK YOU. ❤️

Your partnership allows Mother of Life Center to continue walking alongside mothers and their children—offering hope when they need it most and reminding them that they are never alone.

Mother of Life Center Rose Gala — TOMORROW! 🌹

A quick update for all of our wonderful Rose Gala guests: the Annual Mother of Life Rose Gala at The Dunes Club is on schedule and will take place as planned tomorrow! ❤️

Our keynote speaker has just arrived safely on his flight, so everything is moving right along and we are looking forward to a beautiful evening together.

Please drive safely and use your best judgment when traveling. We sincerely hope everyone will be able to join us, and we are so grateful for the effort you are making to be there and support the life-saving work of Mother of Life Center.

And one thing is for sure… if you’re making the trip to The Dunes Club, you’ll have a front-row seat to the beautiful waves rolling in on Narragansett Beach! 🌊🌹

🌹 A Wonderful Day of Fellowship, Faith & Support for Life! 🌹

We want to extend our deepest gratitude to the Rhode Island State Council Knights of Columbus for hosting the Mother of Life Center Cook-Out & Open House on Saturday, August 15th—the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and a very special day in the history of Mother of Life Center.

What a wonderful afternoon it was! ❤️

We are incredibly grateful to all the Knights and their families who joined us—whether you were visiting Mother of Life Center for the first time, taking a tour and learning more about our mission, or returning once again to show your continued support. Your presence, generosity, and enthusiasm meant so much to us!

The Knights truly went above and beyond to make the afternoon such a success. They handled the set-up, prepared and cooked the hot dogs and delicious sausage & pepper sandwiches, brought soda, water, chips and all the extras, and then stayed afterward to break everything down and clean up. Your generosity and willingness to serve made the entire day possible, and we are so grateful!

And the abundance of donations brought to the Center was incredible! These much-needed items will go directly toward helping the mothers, babies, and families we serve.

We are also so thankful for our MOLC staff, who gave their time to welcome our guests, provide tours, answer questions, and help everyone better understand what we do and why our mission is so important. It was a wonderful opportunity to open our doors and share the work that takes place here every day.

There was plenty of good food, laughter, fellowship, prayer in our chapel, and wonderful conversation throughout the afternoon. Most of all, it was a beautiful opportunity to come together as a community united in our love for life and our desire to support mothers and their children. 🌹

A Mission That Began More Than 50 Years Ago

While Mother of Life Center celebrated the 42nd anniversary of the opening of the Center, our ministry began even earlier.

In 1973, Catholics for Life was established, beginning a mission to protect life and support mothers and babies. That ministry eventually developed into Problem Pregnancy of Providence, which later became the Mother of Life Center we know today.

Then, on August 15, 1984—the Feast of the Assumption—the doors of Mother of Life Center officially opened.

So, while we celebrate 42 years of the Center, we are also celebrating more than 50 years of serving mothers, babies, and families. What a beautiful legacy of faith, compassion, and service and by God’s grace, the mission continues.

In Loving Memory of Our Founder, Joanne McOsker

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the passing of our beloved founder, Joanne McOsker. She peacefully entered into eternal life on July 14, surrounded by her loving family at her home in New Hampshire.

Joanne was truly a force of nature. Moved by her deep Catholic faith and her unwavering commitment to the sanctity of human life, in 1973, in response to the Roe v. Wade decision, she and other faithful prolife Catholics founded Catholics for Life, which became the first organization in RI to service abortion minded pregnant women.

Determined that women facing unexpected pregnancies would never have to face their difficult situations alone, Catholics for Life (now known as Servants of Christ For Life) began servicing pregnant women with compassion, hope, and practical support. Catholics For Life became the parent organization for Problem Pregnancy of Providence, aka, Mother of Life Center, as well as the Little Flower Home, which provides safe housing for expectant mothers.

Joanne's vision saved and transformed countless lives. Her legacy is woven into the very fabric of our organization and continues daily through the services we provide and the women we are privileged to serve.

We give thanks to God for the extraordinary gift of Joanne's life.
Please keep Joanne and her family in your prayers, and the Mother of Life Center as well, as we honor her memory by continuing the work to which she devoted her life.
