The main core of WECC’s programming is the Early Learning Program, the Before/After School and Summer Youth Program and the Social Service Program.
• Social Service Program: Services provided consist of, but are not limited to, a food closet that in the past has served 350 families and individuals monthly. The food closet is culturally sensitive and strives to purchase food that addresses the v

Other services provided include referrals to utilities and rental assistance, and furniture and clothing banks, Senior Citizen Health and Wellness Workshops, and case management for those whi need help applying for food stamps, medical assistance, housing and other government programs including the Assurance Program (government free telephones).
• Early Learning Program: The Early Learning Program strives to provide high quality educational experiences and school readiness for the children in care. The program runs year round, from 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM, Monday- Friday, and serves children 18 months to 5 years. Nutritionally approved breakfast, lunch and snack are provided to the children each day. Four days per week dinner is provided as well. The program is licensed by the Rhode Island Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) and they monitor all aspects of the program.
• Before/After School and Summer Youth Program: Our Youth Program offers activities that strengthen, expand and provide real life context to information learned in the classroom. WECC’s youth educational component focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (known as the STΣAM curriculum) as well as the 21st Century Curriculum, and Sparks Physical Fitness Curriculum. The program provides before and after school care for children ages 5-14 during the school calendar year, and full care services during school breaks and summer vacation. This program is also monitored and licensed by DCYF.
